Such a optimistic, peaceful and sociable lodge close to Cape Town's city centre. Every single member of the staff was so helpful, warm and friendly, even the funny dog, Bella. Stayed there around three months, making friends, discovering Cape and finding myself. Definitively, I reccommend it for everybody who likes freedom, outdoor activities, meets new people and, of course, believes... More

We stayed here on our holiday to Cape Town and really enjoyed it. Very relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff, cute dogs and cats, very comfortable beds and close by to shops, restaurants and My Citi bus stops! They have a full on kitchen, swimming pool and a pool table to keep you busy when you aren't exploring.

Very friendly and helpful staff, swimming pool a nice touch but not the cleanest place. Even though the young dude at reception checked and the cleaning lady after... I found that the pillow case had blood and dirty marks.. pretty much couldnt sleep all night as the bedding made me itchy and didnt smell clean. Hope they upgrade some..

We booked online. Husband is allergic to cats. They have 2 indoor cats and 2 dogs. They are allowed in furniture so we were limited to the kitchen and bedroom for the most part.  No where did they say they had pets before booking. We did laundry there and it came back damp. They said their dryer broke so they... More

We came to DecoLodge due to an booking mistake of another backpackers who transferred us to this nice backpackers. Staff is exceptionally friendly and they bond with you in a relaxed way by asking you to have a drink with them. Rooms get serviced, what is high standard at a backpackers. Our room was spotlessly clean, with fresh, crispy linnen.... More

I used to stay in the hotel for my annual medical conference, until I discovered this place near by a few years ago. Now I stay over whenever I trek 'over the mountain' to Cape Town, just because I like being there. Great place to stay at a fraction of a hotel's price and no hotel can beat this place's... More

Deco Lodge Backpackers is an unexpected hidden oasis in the city. The guests are a mixture of tourists and longer stay workers. The accommodation is comfortable, the small but adequate kitchen has a delightful whistling kettle, there is a large communal area opening onto decking, a swimming pool, a hammock slung between trees and secure parking. Everything is scrupulously clean... More

Thank you to everyone at Deco Lodge for our stay! Great to catch up with some old friends (Wilma) and meet a whole lot of new. We travelled with our kids and I was eternally grateful to Wilma for gathering so much information of what we can do......in the rain!! Close to the science centre and in a hub of... More
