Loved everything about this place. The view from our room was magnificent, The room was lovey and breakfast was great and we had a delicious, reasonably priced dinner on-site. What more could you ask for?

I stayed in a 2 bedroom cottage last week with my husband and 2 young kids. We pulled up to the property and were BLOWN AWAY by how gorgeous the views are. A view of the ocean with a gorgeous sandy beach with the gorgeous highlands in view. Unbelievable. The manager, Kim, was so welcoming and friendly. We ate dinner... More

At the tip of Cape Breton we found this wonderful lodge. Simple and rustic rooms with amazing views (we opted for the rooms vs. a cabin as we wanted a guaranteed view) and a wonderful restaurant which made it easy to relax after a long day of exploring the national park.

Fab chalet cottage rooms, delicious food, stunning views, helpful staff, nice massage! Wish we were staying longer! The whole place is so charming. The lobster dinner is fabulous! Has a sweet outdoor pool too for the kids! Will definitely consider a return trip.

i was pleasantly surprised with the quality of dining at The Markland. The chef, Patterson Rochon, was superb. His creations were fresh and organic. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The cottages were clean, very comfortable and affordable. I loved my stay! I have already recommended it to friends.

Nice cabins in a great location on the northern tip of Cape Breton. The restaurant served excellent dinners and continental breakfast as well. It's off the beaten track but a great spot to serve as a base for exploring the Cabot Trail and National Park.

My boyfriend and I jut stayed there. We had a log room with a king bed which was really nice. Our cabin looked onto the ocean it was so beautiful. Wish I would've stayed more than one night. Staff was great and the food for dinner was exceptional! We will definitely be back.

The Markland is in a remote area, stunning scenery, private walking beach easily accessed. We stayed in a log room and although you are aware of your neighbors, it is muffled noise at most. The log rooms all have an ocean view, very spacious and also very clean which cabin type places often aren't. The bed is comfy, the heat... More

This is a beautiful piece of property right on the water. The views up and down the coast are stunning! Don't come here looking for fancy accommodations, but the cabins are warm and comfortable. We were able to get a cabin with two bedrooms and a pullout couch in the living room. The beds were quite comfortable, and the couch... More
