"IL CANTO DEL SOLE" is an old 18 th century Tuscan farmhouse. We have recently restored it, preserving all its original features. The Farmhouse offers 10 rooms, each furnished with the simple furniture originally found in them, which has been carefully restored. The rooms are all very light and airy and offer a complete range of facilities: satellite TV, fridge, bathroom with shower and hair dryer. Both structures are surrounded by around one hectare of shady gardens, immersed in the heart of the crete senesi countryside. They are just 10 km from Siena (Porta Romana) and 1 km from the "Grancia di Cuna" (a 13 th century fortified farmhouse on the Via Francigena). We offer our guests: a salt water swimming pool (7 x 14), children's play areas, a barbecue area and a panoramic terrace above our wine cellar, with views over the Val d'Arbia. During the winter, breakfast and dinner are served in a large dining room with a central fireplace, while during the summer, they are served in the external courtyard.A pool table and a selection of games are available to guests in the lemon room, adjacent to the lounge. In addition to cooking, we (Luciano and Laura) are at your complete disposal for any information or suggestions for walks, mountain biking, horse riding and car excursions. In addition to the gardens, we also have around three hectares of land where you will find our horses' paddocks, a small vineyard and vegetable crops grown exclusively for use by our family and our guests.

I’ve had a wonderful time here. There are 6 rooms in the main house (5 up, one down) and rooms with kitchenette’s by the pool. Breakfast was great and one night there was a dinner for guests but they don’t always do that. Close to Siena and and not too far from Montalcino. The rooms we’re comfortable, larger than most of what we have had in Italy. There is a clothes washer available for your use. Grounds and area are nice to walk or bike and it’s close to Via Francigena. Would stay here again.

Beautiful location in the Tuscan countryside but only 20mins from Siena with the highlights of Tuscany all accessible. Laura and Luciano are wonderful hosts and really made the stay special. The breakfasts are amazing with home baked cakes and other savoury treats. The pool is lovely when you have had enough of walking around hot Tuscan towns. The supermarket in town is just 10mins drive. We purchased some fresh food one evening and borrowed plates, utensils and olive oil from Laura and sat outside to enjoy a relaxed dinner. There are also restaurants nearby. We had one of the garden rooms, which are clean and spacious with a nice outdoor area.

By far, Luciano and his staff have created a very beautiful and pleasnt location on the countryside of Siena. They have converted this old winwry into a nice hotel, with pool, and a paradise-like garden, where you can enjoy a good local wine, or the house wine ( white wines of San Giovese grapes) under the stars on the tuscan nights. The palce is overall clean, neat, and very quite. There is the possibility of making your own meals, or bbq, or just go to the next town for a restaurant. Just 10 minute by car, there is a supermarket, whre you can buy everything you may need. The breakfast buffet is very good and offers eggs and cakes of own production. Very pleased to have stayed there.I will be back for sure.

Stayed for 5 nights. Very friendly and hospitable owners, very eager to help. Makes one feel at home. Provided transportation in their car to restaurants nearby and Sienna. Located in the countryside in a beautiful location. There is about a kilometer long dirt road that leads to it and is well marked. Large room and shower. Water temperature in shower was shifting from cold to warm. Very plentiful breakfast. A very enjoyable stay! Highly recommend it.

This is a wonderful place to spend a week in Tuscany. It is well-located, about 15 - 20 minutes south of Siena. The proprietors, Luciano and Laura are terrific and are more than willing to go the extra mile if necessary. The accommodations are quite nice (although some may find the beds a bit hard), and the breakfast consists of a very extensive, good quality buffet. You will definitely need a car, of course, and, while your GPS will not get you completely there, good signs are posted at the point where your GPS gives out. We would go back in a minute. We loved it.

Never would I have dreamed that our family vacation would be so successful, and all the credit goes to Luciano and Laura, their fabulous B&B and their warm and unending hospitality. The farm setting was beautiful and the surrounding views better than any pictures can portray. The pool was great, the breakfast setting and food wonderful, and the animals added an extra touch for the kids. We were a family of 9 (my husband and myself and our two daughters and families- including two 3 year olds and a baby) and we stayed here for a week. Not only were Laura and Luciano willing to recommend restaurants and activities, but they also went out and brought in food for us when we were too tired to move. Everything was delicious and reasonable. Of course the tour de force was the home cooked meal made one evening at the request of all of the guests. Fabulous! And they even got up before 5:30 to arrange our breakfast on our last day. The location is also very convenient for day trips in different directions. We went back several times to Siena which is a charm. Don't miss out on this bit of heaven! and give them our love....

We love everything about this place. The people, the location, the rooms - everything. Really! Explore the area, go for a city walk of Siena, rent a bike and exercise through the beautiful landscape or enjoy a day by the pool with nothing else but much sought after peace and quiet. It’s all right here.
