We - a couple with a 2 year old son - stayed here for 7 nights at the end of June. What can I say? The location is beautiful, the hosts are friendly, welcoming and inviting, and the whole place just has that beautiful Tuscany charm. A little remote from Siena, but a quick ride by car to the city...

I am a native of Tuscany who has lived abroad for almost thirty years. I had very high expectations, and I was not disappointed. The place sits on a hilltop with dramatic views of Siena and the surrounding hills, you can easily drive to Siena, Montalcino, Pienza, or even go to the beach at Castiglione. As someone else has also...

The setting of this farmhouse accommodation is simply breathtaking. It is set apart on a hilltop with distant views of the towers of Siena and set within the beautiful Tuscan landscape called the 'Sienese Crete.' Peace and quiet abound, with distant bells from the local sheep herds and the odd tractor the only sounds to distract you from your relaxation....

I can't say enough wonderful things about San Giovanni in Poggio. We truly found a little slice of heaven here. My husband and I recently stayed here for 5 nights in the middle of September, in the stand-alone house named Meriggio, and it couldn't have been more perfect. Our home was absolutely beautiful, perfectly equipped and unbelievably comfortable. The grounds...

We were in San Giovanni in Poggio with friends from 9 till 16 September. If you want to get away from it all, this is the place to be. This beautiful farmhouse on top of a hill has all the accommodation you need, and our apartment 'Alba' was very nice and cosy and well equipped. The view is amazing, even...

AMAZING. We stayed about a week in Meriggio (the standalone house) and loved every second of it. It was just my husband and I, but we like having extra space to roam around in - and the pictures of the kitchen were too cute to pass up! Make sure to look at a GoogleEarth map before you go because all...

We have fully enjoyed the place, the hospitality and the silent surroundings. The big apartments (we had Alba 80 sqm) are well equipped in the typical tuscany style designed by the owner's wife. Waking up to the song of birds, smelling the roses under your window is priceless!
