Villa Palagina is a completely different experience you feel like in a movie most of the staff is extremely extremely friendly and nice they are multilingual and they know so much about wine . The waiter specially Pervis went beyond the call of duty . The front desk staff is extremely helpful and warm they make you feel at home . I will recommend this experience to anybody who loves wines and to anyone who loves a fine relaxing experience
I loved this resort. The setting is ideal for exploring this part of Tuscany and at the end of the day it was such a treat to retire to a large and historical room. The food at both breakfast and dinner was very good and I love that they have a working farm with a lot of animals that you can visit.
My wife and I were lucky enough to be married at Villa La Palagina in September 2020. Our stay at Palagina was amazing from start to finish, the hotel is truley spectacular and nothing is too much for any of the fantastic staff, Especially Renato on the main desk. We have recently returned from our second stay at Palagina for our wedding anniversary, and it was just as amazing as we remembered. I would highly recommened Villa La Palagina to anyone, we certainly hope to return every year.
What a disappointment. My husband and I revisited the Palagina after an interval of 7 years. Back in 2014, Eric and Fabio the head waiter ran an efficient, friendly and delightful hotel, aided by a brilliant chef and brilliant food. And it was excellent value for money. All that has gone. A hotel chain has taken over and it’s a completely different place. The result is an expensive and impersonal experience with plain and unimaginative food (they have the cheek to do a ‘tasting menu’ which suggested it was something special which it definitely wasn’t). It seems there is no one person in charge to oversee what should be a smooth run operation. Service was falling apart except for one waiter in the restaurant doing his best. A note in the room to say the swimming towels would…
I can't say enough great things about this place! My fiancee and I got engaged on our recent trip to Tuscany, and I can't think of anyplace I'd rather have stayed at. The staff were extraordinarily friendly and accommodating. Manuel helped me plan a secret picnic lunch with delicious, fresh Tuscan food prepared at the local farm and wine from the villa's own vineyard. He even recommended the perfect nature park for the proposal (Vallombrosa, a gorgeous, scenic 45 min drive away). Renato seemed to know every local restaurant and made recommendations and reservations for us, often last minute (because we're procrastinators), which never disappointed. The farm tour was a blast, even for us childless adults, and the olive trees around the swimming pools offered the perfect place to…
we just went for dinner escaping from Florence heat, the service was amazing and the food also we will be back for sure the best food we had and also the wine was great chianti is our favorite Italian red, la Palagina has a wonderful selection
We love to stay in this magic place, in Hotel Villa La Palagina. We used to visit it every year and we want to continue on this way. We had a bike tour with Daniele, we were cycling in Chianti hills and also visited small valleys and Sting properties. Looking forward to spending time in Villa again 👋 Nada and Ladislav
Villa Margherita at La Palagina is an amazing place to enjoy the awesomeness of Tuscany with a large group of friends and/or family. We were 9 people and it was perfect for all of us to stay in comfort in a characteristic Tuscan villa. The private pool is perfect for hot afternoons and the outside seating area is phenomenal for a dinner al fresco. The views are stunning and the service is top notch. Absolutely recommended.
Absolutely stunning location, grounds and pools. Hotel rooms all unique which added to the experience. Breakfast was fabulous lots of choice served by friendly and helpful staff. Dinner in the Vineyard, the wedding meal & following evening meal all superb. Memories to last a lifetime, certainly made at La Palagina. Thank you 😘
Quite simply stunning. Top location, wonderful breakfast and friendly staff. All covid precautions implemented and taken very seriously which made our stay feel very reassuring. Room was massive, lovely rustic Italian feel and plenty of parking. 2 large pools with a decent poolside bar. Evening dinner was delicious with a wonderful front of house, service was slow as it was busy, but we were in no rush. All in all an excellent 2 nights.
