It's obvious based on reviews, this place is breathtaking. The staff were very helpful and friendly.

We had 2 teens with us so booked the "Casa Dei Frutteti Apartment" @ 224,00€/night. Super spacious; good AC; small kitchette; 2 bathrooms but no view. But you get the views at the awesome pool(s) and restaurant, so we were good.

The dining is superb, but be sure to make reservations; we didn't our 2nd night and were ready to head out but at the last minute, they made us a little table with a beautiful view.

Dinner 1st night, my husband and I shared the Firentina, an Insalata Mista, and Ricotta Spinach Dumpling - it was heavenly. Final bill was 139.50€ for family of 4.

Up in the hills of Tuscany you come to a path lined with cypress trees and find your way to Villa La Palagina. Amazing location with a quintessential view of olive tree rows across the valley, you couldn’t find a better place to perch for a coffee after a bit of a drive. Two pools, very impressive restaurant, fantastic staff, and actually a surprisingly low price. This is the perfect Tuscan getaway.

I had an incredible experience at Villa La Palagina! The staff went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. Arianna's wine tasting in the vineyards was a highlight - her knowledge and enthusiasm were captivating. Sofia at reception was attentive and made sure all our needs were met.
Villa La Palagina exceeded all expectations and provided an exceptional experience that will forever hold a special place in our hearts. From the moment we arrived, the staff's dedication to ensuring our stay was nothing short of magical was evident.

Arianna, the talented wine connoisseur, took us on a remarkable journey through the vineyards. Her passion for viticulture was palpable as she shared insightful details about the winemaking process, the local terroir, and the rich history of the estate. Her ability to answer our questions with enthusiasm and depth showcased her expertise and made the wine tasting an unforgettable adventure.

Sofia, the ever-attentive receptionist, went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and comfortable throughout our stay. Her warm and genuine demeanor, coupled with her keen attention to detail, ensured that every request and need were met promptly and with a smile. Her dedication to guest satisfaction truly made us feel like valued patrons.

Angelo's culinary expertise shone brightly during the brilliant cooking class he led. The experience was not just a cooking lesson, but a gastronomic journey that indulged all senses. Angelo's passion for Tuscan cuisine was infectious, and his ability to guide us through each step of creating delectable dishes was both educational and entertaining. The sense of accomplishment and joy we felt while savoring the fruits of our labor was unparalleled.

Moreover, the Villa itself is a charming haven nestled amidst the picturesque Tuscan landscape. The serene ambiance and architectural beauty seamlessly blend with the natural surroundings, creating an idyllic retreat that radiates tranquility. The meticulously maintained grounds, lush gardens, and breathtaking views all contributed to a sense of enchantment that truly rejuvenated our spirits.

Quite simply stunning.

Top location, wonderful breakfast and friendly staff.

All covid precautions implemented and taken very seriously which made our stay feel very reassuring.

Room was massive, lovely rustic Italian feel and plenty of parking.

2 large pools with a decent poolside bar.

Evening dinner was delicious with a wonderful front of house, service was slow as it was busy, but we were in no rush.

All in all an excellent 2 nights.

Villa Margherita at La Palagina is an amazing place to enjoy the awesomeness of Tuscany with a large group of friends and/or family. We were 9 people and it was perfect for all of us to stay in comfort in a characteristic Tuscan villa. The private pool is perfect for hot afternoons and the outside seating area is phenomenal for a dinner al fresco. The views are stunning and the service is top notch. Absolutely recommended.

The property is gorgeous. The views are beautiful, the grounds are lovely, the villa is charming. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The staff was polite, knowledgeable, and friendly. The food was fresh and delicious. We really enjoyed the wine/olive oil tasting and walking around the grounds. We forgot our wedding ring after we checked out and the staff was very helpful in making sure it was mailed back to the States for us - thank you! We highly recommend.

Knowing the region we were keen to find a good hotel that was central to the Chianti area and that is exactly what the Palagina La Dimora delivered. The setting and views are superb but with the added convenience of being close to many of Tuscany’s small towns and villages. You do need a car though. We do not typically eat in the hotel we are staying in but the Palagina offers an excellent restaurant and we ended up eating dinner there 4 out of the 7 nights because it was so good! The service of the whole team was very good and a particular shout out for Claudio in the restaurant who was happy to give us many tips on places to see and visit. A couple of suggestions to the management team, firstly a pity that the pools close at 19:00, even if we understand they are located in front of the restaurant and hence better for peace and quiet that they are closed before. Also noted that the hotel has an on duty lifeguard who starts early. The other suggestion is to perhaps offer daily specials off the main menu. The meals were excellent but we ended up repeating dishes even if very good, a little more variety would have been welcome. Extensive and excellent wines list. Breakfast was very good and good selection with some daily changes. The plumbing needs a little bit of work but the real test is would we return and a unanimous yes! Thanks for a wonderful relaxing break!

We were part of a group of 15, we were a family of 4 and stayed in the villa (2 adults and 2 kids). Villa was great but we should have planned better to make use of the self catering option and bring some drinks and snacks as there isn’t much options for lunch at the hotel. Also note that the villa is not part of the hotel and therefore no cleaning of villa, only fresh towels. The hotel receptionist Nately is an absolute star and very willing to assist with all our needs. The hotel is perfect way to experience the beautiful views and feel of Tuscany. We celebrated a birthday with dinner in the vineyards which was a wonderful experience (food no so great) but the ambience of the singer and surroundings made up for it. Our time there was relaxing and we stayed at the pool most of the time, which was perfect. We also did the bike tour, which was great fun and realized there was so much to explore surrounding the hotel. But all is good because we will certainly return but with a vehicle next time, so we can explore the greater area more.

The structure and location are very beautiful and impressive, the afternoons in the pool, the relaxation and the total quiet raise the review. Our room (n.11) was clean, bright and spacious with a sofa and sitting area, it's a pity that the details were not well looked after, the bathroom had a rusty radiator that needed to be repainted, and in some areas the plaster needed to be repaired, but I try to justify the immensity of the villa with the few staff perhaps available. The restaurant (external management) is well looked after, excellent dishes, quality food and good service, spectacular views. The breakfast was disappointed by the lack of local products from the area (such as supermarket cakes, industrial drinks and jams), certainly a vast sweet and savory assortment. The farm is their strong point, it attracts schools and outdoor activities for children. The impression has always been the same, little cared for, little staff (with animals you need hands to clean and keep the enclosures tidy). The green area surrounding the villa is immersed and there are many spaces to take care of. There is certainly no lack of potential but it seems that the owners (a multinational) are not trying to invest but rather letting the beauty of the home decay.
