We booked this hotel for sightseeing the beautiful Southern Bohemian region of the Czech Republic and relaxing in the hotel in between. This little town is excellent for doing that, close to all the major attractions in the region. The town itself has an amazing castle and a nice town square with excellent and inexpensive restaurants. As for the hotel, I must say we were a bit disappointed. The hotel is new and superclean, but (maybe as a result) its atmosphere is almost sterile, with lighted spaceous halls, bars and lounges (and nobody sitting there). The entry looks like a parking lot (it isn't) and the outside seating area is used by smokers only (unfortunately this happens a lot in European hotels; you are 'welcomed' by a group of smokers upon entering your hotel). The rooms are clean and ours had a little balcony that looks good on paper, but is actually a very small balcony overlooking the main through road and a gardening centre (yes, there is a golf court as well on the other side of the main road), but it's also overlooking your neigbours' balconies as there are no barriers between them (in fact if you sit at the little table you can look into your neigbours' rooms as well). The wellness area is basically an unheated pool that has the atmosphere of a community pool (a lot of light and echo). The rest of the wellness area consists of a sauna and an area with hot/steam baths that looked nice, but as all the signs were in Czech we did not know how to operate them or how to behave. We were sitting there in our swim clothes, but then naked people entered which made us feel uncomfortable so we left (note this was not in the sauna area, but the general wellness area). We also looked forward to getting a massage, but we did not find any information on this (apparently they offer these) and the staff did or could not explain (most had only a basic knowledge of English and German). We found the breakfast buffet very basic, more 3-star than 5-star, with a lot of supply issues during the mornings we were there (out of cheese, out of sausage, out of rolls, out of coffee beans) and refills happened slowly. No service for making omelets, only a small DIY buffet. Parking garage (about €10 a night) is very spaceous, but the hotel also has a large outdoor parking which is free. We did not try the restaurant for its lack of atmosphere (just go to the great restaurants on the town square which is just around the corner of the hotel). The hotel is not bad and we did enjoy our stay because of the town and region, but I would not recommend this hotel - which is also not cheap for Czech standards - if you are looking for a 'luxury' feel (which we were after and to be honest also expected), hence the 'average' rating.

I visited this hotel during September 2021. And generally I was satisfied. Rooms are very clean, same as the whole hotel in all areas, cozy, quite small, looking exactly like on the hotel pictures. What are the positives? Good locatikn, nice rooms, nice pool, wellness centre with all possible services, dream spa. I tried combined aroma bath and massage… and I was very satisfied. Spa area is very clean and comfortable. Staff is excellent. Use pool, pool bar and jacuzzi… be careful on slippy floors in showers. WIFI connection is very good. I tried to measure its speed and it was around 40 MBit. Generally I liked the staff which is well chosen by the hotel management. Breakfast is just perfect. You can find almost everything in buffet, including sparkling wine. I was just surprised by wide choice in such a small hotel (around 36 rooms). Hotel is checking your Covid Pass. And now negatives. Yes, there are some and it would be pity to overlook them. Simply said…. Air- condition system is horrible, it is noisy and not strong enough, specially if you have a room under the roof and on the West side. Such rooms are quite warm and it is quite hard to sleep when the A/C system is switched on. But what is even worse are pillows and mattresses. While it would not be easy to deal with the A/C system for the hotel (just try to avoid rooms under roof), it would be easier to do something with beds! These are not beds and pillows for 5 stars hotel, but rather 3 stars. Good bed is the basis for good hotel. And this hotel can be perfect. I also tried restaurant for dinner and I was not satisfied. Staff is very nice, but my dish was not (salmon steak and roasted vegetable noodles… both swimming in oil, not only terriyaki sauce). Would I come again? Yes, definitelly. Look at other hotels at this place and it is clear decision.

My husband an I, wanted a night away to relax and decided on this hotel and spa. It was very clean, nice and relaxing. We ate in the hotel and again the food was great. The only complaint would be that we couldn't get the AC in the room to work. It was so hot (the display said 27), we ended up opening the window. This was in winter when it was 1 degree outside!! Once we opened the window, it cooled down and allowed us to sleep. Otherwise, it was a pleasant and relaxing stay. One of the better spa's that we have stayed in too.

I cant not imagine someone is coming here for spa facilities - there is a shallow pool and a small whirlpool and a few saunas in the other cramped room. I had expected much better facilities and was fairly disappointed to see this misery. The doors are unassuming and when i entered, staff lady started to bark without any pauses for breathing/explanation what exactly is wrong. Never expected such aggressive treatment.

Location was good to our plan and we traveled from there to different locations. Breakfast was very rich and good (except for the coffee), room spacious and clean with comfortable enough beds and linen. We would prefer a walk in shower but as it was a shower in a bath was OK. We loved the Jacuzzi at the end of each day. They provide free parking which was excellent to us, and wi-fi without a nagging password. I should also mention a nice welcome drink- all in all not a bad stay. Disliked · The hotel grounds were not so inspiring, on a main road with no garden outside area except for the paved entrance itself. the wellness center was good but no personal touch was ever offered or advice on treatments. very strange. we missed a coffee/tea corner in the room which oddly enough, we were told only suites get to have it. Not suited for that level of a hotel. i had to looks for a kettle and cups and tea bags, not to mention spoon sugar and the lot. customer service - please take care to have this in each room for the nice welcoming feelings it gives your guests. so petty to have it in suites only! restaurant was very nice with fine good dishes, also served pretty late in the evening. photos attached

We enjoyed every bit of our stay here as an escape from kids :) there is just everything what you need for romantic enjoyable moments in here. Nice staff, great food, wonderful wellness possibilities. We went for a diamond package and we were all happy enjoying it. Massages, cosmetic service, 5* food menus, good drinks and walks around the castle parks or near Vltava river or neighboring golf course. We will come again soon.
