We booked two double rooms for the family. The rooms were okay, clean, with minor broken things and a broken mirror, and fast wifi. Breakfast was simple and nice. The receptionist was friendly, even after 30 hours in service.

The best part the hotel, is that is in the middle of town, and that Internet is fast and stable. The rooms are very clean, and not too noisy, especially because Chinese tour groups don’t stay here. But then again, the rooms are old, a bit run down, and far away from any decent modern standard. I would give the hotel two stars max. Breakfast is acceptable but not really great, and staff at the front desk is friendly, but not the most capable I have seen. However, one day I had to leave very early, I was offered a huge breakfast/lunch bag for free, which certainly is a plus side. Parking is free down the street and the price is OK. However this is no place you want to stay for a longer period of time.

We started off with some drinks A coca cola and a sprite These had no bubbles what so ever. Ahh well that can happen. Maybe the bottle was almost empty Our food wasn't great but not extremely bad either My salmon was way to overcooked And the rice was really dry We also got a mixed grill Dry... so dry Maybe the chef had a bad day

I was in the restaurant of this hotel as a tour guide for a folklore evening, with Czech music and dances. Delicious dinner, friendly staff, drinks unlimited - with great quality. I can only recommend it.

Nice hotel, rooms clean, has everything i need for a business stay. Restaurant / bar are fine, beer flows very well! The ladies behind reception are friendly, pleasent and very helpful. The town Hluboka is more picturesque than České Budějoviceske, so better to stay here than in the bigger town.

Staying for two nights, being on a business trip, considering the cost, the overall experience was quite good. Very friendly staff, very clean place, good food and very nice view, being at the heart of a small and quite city. The "underground" tavern-cellar had quite warm athmosphere worth to go for dinner or just for beer nearby the fire-place. This hotel looked to be a very good choice for short stay of travellers who explore the beauties of Czech Rep. countryside.

The Hotel Zavis is great for exploring Hluboka nad Vltavou and southern Bohemia. It's about a 20-minute walk down the hill from the chateau and a 25-minute walk from the zoo, which is one of the best ones we've visited in the Czech Republic. The rooms are adequate and clean, though nothing special and the restaurant, again, provides everything you need, including a small kids' play corner, though nothing more. Parking is available at no cost. The hotel doesn't have much in terms of amenities, but the reception can reserve spa treatments or use of the pool at one of the nearby hotels. We would definitely recommend this place if you don't want to pay for one of the pricier options in town.
