We stayed here one day on our waybfrom Karlstejn to Krivoklat. The place saved us from extreamly hot weather with its amazingly nice swimming pool with a beautiful view to the city and hills. Service was nice, room was perfectly clean, breakfast nice and tasteful. I can only recommend this small hotel to everyone

The good: Sufficient private car park. Decent sized and clean room. Also the lady who offered to cook us eggs at breakfast. The bad: Someone snoring one side of our room and people talking the other, thin walls made it very uncomfortable and impersonal. Having to listen to a stranger snore all night is hideous! Also, curtains would be good, in the early hours when the sun comes up, its like being inside a light bulb, or at least the front facing rooms. Pool freezing and issues with payments on arrival.

My family of six visited during Christmas, renting two rooms. Great location with easy access to autobahn. Wi-Fi was very good. Rooms were nice, included small fridge. Breakfast was good: yogurt, cereals, breads, jams, cookies/muffins, meats, cheeses. Parking is very available and secure. Only 20 minutes from Prague metro park&ride. Price was reasonable. I would definitely recommend as much cheaper alternative to staying in Prague.

It is already 2 month since my wife and I returned from our European holiday that we are still talking about and also about beautiful accommodation at pension Primus in Beroun. As we were both born in Czech rep. and we knew that we don't want to stay in busy and overcrowded Prague during summer school holidays we were looking for a nice town with a close proximity to Prague (capital city ). Beroun with it's great location (20 minutes to Prague by bus ) was an obvious choice. It is a charming town with a river passing through the middle and surrounded by forests, it's also very close (by train if you don't have a car ) to several fames castles (Karlštejn and Křivoklát ).We were looking for a place to stay on the internet and pension Primus seemed to be the best presented. And we were not disappointed. Lovely owners, every day breakfast also with home made cakes and a good coffee served on tables certainly covered with white cloth covers. The most remarkable was our bed (huge with a memory foam and snow white sheets) probably the best bed in any hotel I have ever tried. To walk to the city centre took approximately 15 minutes and there you can find plenty of restaurants with really good prices. The view from the pension is absolutely splendid as you can see the entire city from your windows. This could be one of the reasons why a lot of guests return to the pension regularly every year which is quite impressive. We stayed full six weeks and we have already decided that on our next European tour this must be our accommodation definitely once again and we just cannot wait for that.

We booked this place since it was near one of the sights we wanted to see...Karlstein Castle and Festival. It was rather easy to find....in the suburbs of the city....it was clean, bad resonable breakfast and a great price....about $47.US

My husband and I stayed at Pension Primus for two days while visiting Beroun. The pension is a very nice basic European-style pension. We had a nice clean, airy room, ensuite with lots of hot water, reading lights by the bed(s) (two twins pushed together) and a lovely view of the town from the window. Breakfasts were continental - cereal, a bowl of fruit to help yourself, yogurt, sliced meats and cheese, bread, boiled eggs one day and also Czech cake made by the owner's wife which was delicious and good coffee. The man who checked us in was helpful and friendly. He gave us tips on dinner and helped us figure out our hiking route for the next day. It is an easy walk (20 minutes) down the hill to the charming town of Beroun and a bit longer to walk back up the hill after dinner. Overall we really enjoyed our stay. One point though - I'm not sure when the pictures of the pension on this site were taken, as we weren't offered cooked breakfasts and they certainly don't use white table clothes! Perhaps pictures should reflect what is actually being offered, as it is a nice simple place offering good value for the money.

Four of us went to a trip trough Czech Republic. Our gold was to spend a day in Prague and to be outside overnight. Beroun was the best choice. This Pension is cosy, clean, with beautiful view and nice staff. Room were big and clean, the balcony and flower beautiful and only about half and hour to Prague by car. Wonderful staying! Recommendations!!!

The views from this place are amazing! There is secure parking on site. The hotel itself is lovely and small though the rooms are very clean and spacious. They offer breakfast for a reasonable price, and it is wonderful. We woke up Christmas day here after spending Christmas Eve exploring Prague. I hope to return some day.
