Best place to stay close to Praha that I have visited so far (among dozens).

The restaurant is excellent, the rooms are clean and charming. The whole facility can be best described as real charming "feel well oasis".

So if you are heading Praha coming from the West and haven't found a place to stay yet, go there.

This hotel/guesthouse is a few miles away from our friends house and we have been here a couple of time before. Our last stay was last Friday, we arrived quite late but the staff waited for us to arrive.
We had the same room as last time. Looks clean. They only thing we couldn't get to work was the WIFI and there is a laminated information sheet on the table, which really needed to be cleaned as it was dirty and sticky. Still for 44 euro's (2 adults and 2 dogs) a good price.

Nice restaurant on the countryside. Food was very good. I had onion soup and home made pasta with rabbit. Both tasty and made with love. Service quick and friendly. Cosy atmosphere and nice outside area. Menu in English available.
I will come back.

Lovely place in the country, not far from Prague. Second time I go there for a business meeting; with the right sunny weather, this is a relaxing and comfortable country restaurant, where you can eat good food in a great atmosphere. Excellent treatment by the personnel, extremely professional. Try the desserts!

We had a very nice and tastefull dinner in this restaurant and can highly recommend it to everyone. Since we have two little kids, we appreciated the non-smoking part of the restaurant and baby chair. Although they offer children menu, it does not contain real children food (spaghetti with ketchup and cheese, chicken steak or pancakes). But we chose from adult menu and our kids were happy with it. There is a children playground on premises and little fishpool. They also offer outdoor grill for summer. Parking is not a problem and there is also accommodation available.

We have friends who live nearby the village of Lodenice and when we visit them we always stay at this guest house. The complex is an old farm that has been converted into a guest house and restaurant (where breakfast is served in the morning). The rooms are decent size. However it's not always as clean as I would like it to be. Because it's a guest house there is no housekeeping. So if you want more/clean towels you will need to ask for it. Breakfast is simple, but good.

It's near the highway, so very easy access. It's about 15 minute drive to Prague center.
I would definitely recommend having dinner at their restaurant. They have delicious food!

The staff is friendly however most of them lack the ability to speak any other language beside Czech, which makes communication hard sometimes (but it can be charming too, you are on vacation after all ;-).

We stayed at Ve Stoleti based on a recommendation. It is an old farm complex that has been converted into a lovely restaurant and a guest house, complete with small conference facilities. There is plenty of parking, it is beautifully landscaped, and their is a nice playground for kids. It is very easy to find, right off the highway. The price was excellent for what we got, given its proximity to Prague. Nevertheless, it is still a 15-minute drive to Prague. Do not stay there unless you have a car. And even if you do, it is a challenge, because driving in Prague is quite confusing (even with a GPS) and finding parking that is relatively inexpensive was quite a challenge. We managed ok, but it added some unnecessary stress to our visit. For the price though, it was a great deal. The room was nice and relatively new. It seemed very clean until we put a suitcase up on top of the closet, and a rain of dust came down. They don’t seem to dust what you can’t see. The food in the restaurant was excellent and reasonably priced. My husband said one meal there was one of the best he had ever eaten (pork with green beans). He ate it two nights in a row. We had breakfast with the room, which mainly consisted of cooked eggs and ham, bread and jams/jellies/honey. It was nice. We thought it was a little strange that they never cleaned our room (we were there for ten nights), but I guess that is how they do it. It was peaceful and quiet, except for one night when there was something noisy going on in the room next door. The walls were very thin (but we never heard anything any of the other nights). There is not much to do in the little town this place is in. There was no refrigerator, so we ended up using the ledge outside our window as our little fridge.
