The hotel is actually a resort with a huge park with swimming pool; the best possible option if you don't want to stay in Firenze center that can be noisy, smelly, overcrowded and hot during summertime. This seems the best alternative given the trip time to Firenze center is a mere 30 minutes. You can enjoy Firenze's beauties during the day and unwind and relax in the evening in a beautiful place. Staff is super attentive and helpful, rooms are not too roomy but comfortable and with all amenities. Enjoy the park!!
It’s a Lovely place to spend a couple of relaxing days in the sunshine. The service is quite friendly. The ambiance is pleasant. Food is ok, but the food does let the place down a bit. They could do with a nice, slightly smarter restaurant. Instead, the same bistro does for breakfast, lunch and dinner; and the pasta is not so good - it did not taste freshly made, which is a bit of a sin in my book! I came to Italy in part for the food so it was a disappointment on that front. A taxi to town is not cheap so you feel kind of stuck with the food. So 2 nights were enough, but I’d still recommend it as a place to spend a short stay if you are looking for a place in the area.
We really enjoyed our stay during 4 days in this beautiful hotel with an excellent restaurant. Only 4 km from the center of Firenze. They also offer a free shuttle to the city center of Firenze and back. The accommodation has several buildings in the great looking garden. We really enjoyed here it was also good relaxing in the pool.
We stayed for two nights as a mini escape to the countryside after almost a week in the hustle and bustle of Florence city proper. Our welcome was strange. The lady at the desk mistook us for someone else and thought we had only booked one night instead of two to stay. When we got to our room, a garden suite which had been recommended in other reviews, we were disappointed to see no kitchenette as advertised and that we were in a very small two-level room in an annex of the hotel. When we called to see if there was a kitchenette room as promised, the same lady told us none were available and that even for those rooms that had them, they were not functional due to fire codes! Whether or not this is true or just a ruse to get us to drop it is still unclear. Best not to promise kitchenettes if there are none. To be fair she offered us an alternate room in the main hotel that was beautifully decorated. But we declined as we had already paid more for this “suite”. She explained we were placed in the annex as we had asked for a quiet room. It was quiet, but the decor felt like that of a motel and the bathroom door once open would bang into the bidet. Got bitten several times at night by mosquitoes while sleeping. When we asked the desk the next morning about repellant, they had wipes and gave us a plug in to help keep the bugs away. Not sure why all the rooms aren’t just equipped with the plug ins if this is a known problem. Would have been nice to avoid the bites as mine get very large. Also booked this hotel with promise of a heated pool. The temps outside were a pleasant mid 20s celsius with sun. Perfect pool weather. Turns out the pool was ice cold. Numbingly so. When we asked a staff member about warming it, he said he couldn’t! What’s the point then! While the shuttle is a nice touch, you must book in advance as they also shuttle guests of the nearby Mulino hotel. The times of pickup and drop-off are limited and such that if you wanted to have dinner in the city centre you would have to cab back for 25 euros plus. Can’t see how this would be a good hotel for those wanting to see the centre at night. Glad we already did that prior to coming here. Food-wise, the nearby Osteria Brucia Tegami was amazing if you’re stranded here at dinner and don’t plan to eat at their restaurant. One of our top meals of our multi week Italy trip. Wouldn’t recommend. Wouldn’t stay again.…
This hotel is a bit outside of Florence, but I greatly enjoyed the tranquility of the grounds. We stayed in early October for 3 nights and were delighted that the pool was still open. It's a great pool and we had it to ourselves for several hours. The breakfast was fantastic! A great selection with something for everyone. Aldo, the concierge, is great. He recommended a great restaurant in Florence and several places for buying leather goods. He also arranged a phenomenal Chianti wine tour for us, which was the highlight of our 12 days trip!
