We came yesterday and I cannot express how amazing it feels to be here. We had to climb high with a car to the top of the mountains where the hotel and restaurant is. It’s made like a little village. From here is incredible view, absolutely quiet, tons of snow, amazing rooms and absolutely delicious kitchen in the restaurant. Staff here is friendly. It’s very well done everything, every little detail. I’m sure we will come back!

Staying in a nearby cabin, we took advantage of the superb cuisine and lovely dining atmosphere available in the restaurant at the Harahorn Hotel for 2 evenings during our Easter holiday. The juniper smoked duck breast and slow-braised lamb shank were remarkable. _ Note; we were not guests in the hotel, but expect the service and rooms to match their cuisine. Also worth mentioning, is that we have been dining at the Harahorn as "non-residents" on occasion for several years now and have always been impressed.

Stayed at the Harahorn for a company trip last fall, and the experience, the food, the wine and the service was really great. Nice rooms and good beds in the cottages. Friendly staff, great location in the mountains above Hemsedal with good opportunities for hiking or just relaxing in the beautiful surroundings.

Well located comfortable cabins - rustic "Norwegian" style both indoors and outdoors. Surroundings provide for all kinds of outdoor activities. Main building has cozy dining hall and comfortable lounge and fireplace. Dining is an experience on its own - highly recommended.

Sitting high up on the mountainside this hotel comprises of self catering "huts" which should not give the impression they are anything other than very comfortable with self catering amenities. The restaurant food was of the highest standard with friendly and helpful service. We were out on a Bergans of Norway seminar trip canoeing and walking so stayed two nights with one night camping in between by a lake. It's a bit out of the way but well worth the trip.
