We booked the "hotel" for 4 days. The agenda- wedding ceremony followed by evening of dancing. And traveling in the area at the following days. By the look of the pictures, by reading the agenda, and even by reading some of the reviews, this should have been wedding of fairytales. As in fairytales, where there are princess and kings there... Unfortunately the reviewer is slightly short of the facts. This was a last minute wedding booking that came from Israel and we were really looking forward to getting to know them. It was booked by the Bride’s Mother and all their friends were invited and paid for by the Bride. We did everything possible for them including sourcing a Rabbi,... More

the setting is fabulous, the public areas very pleasant. Food is ok but the wine poor quality for the price asked. Our room was very pleasant with all that you'd expect and on the ground floor just off the courtyard. However the lack of sound insulation and in particular the noisy plumbing were more reminiscnent of a low-cost Spanish hotel.

This was a lovely evening that we hosted for a local choir group of 40+ strong and we had also had the honour of looking after them at Christmas as well. It is always a challenge when you have a set budget to include 3-courses and x2 glasses of wine per person but we did it successfully on both occasions.... More

I visited with a party of around 40 for an evening meal. The food was very good and there was an interesting choice of salads, vegetarian food and barbecues meats. However, before I could return for seconds,as I have done a previous function there, everything was removed so I and others were slightly irritated. The dessert was a square of... More

The staff were very welcoming and helpfull to give information on the country. The room was at the expected comfort and not noisy. We appreciated the quite original setting ot the "chateau" with the old wine house refited in a restaurant. Pool and spa appreciated. Well located for exploring the area quietly.

For a surprise Christmas present for my wife I arranged a New Year’s Eve visit to a hotel that we have stayed at before near the Mediterranean coast, followed by four days skiing in the Pyrenees which are only just a couple of hours drive from the hotel. We arrived tired and a bit jaded from a busy family Christmas... More

As a guest at a wedding held here, I would strongly discourage people from booking this as a wedding venue. The ceremony and wedding breakfast itself was lovely, but the experience of actually staying in the chateau was dreadful. Hosting a wedding here means most guests have to stay and use the facilities, which are not up to standard. Our... More

From the moment I contacted the Chateau to departing, the whole experience was a pleasure. My Husband and I (And 50 of our closest family and friends) arrived for a 3 day wedding and had the best time. Lovely rooms, Lovely staff (Special mention to Frances and Sam) and a great venue all planned very well by Tim and Sasha.... More

We held our Wedding here at the end of June 2015. I must say the staff we so friendly, loved Sam and Frances. The whole team made our 4 days so special and stress free. I really do recommend this venue.

Main function room is spectacular with the old fuits (barrels) and concrete cuvees Banquet food was a mixed bag. The fish courses of tuna and lobster had been hanging around under lamps and were very dry. The veal was perfectly delicious and the desert light and fresh. The cheese course was for the adventurous and brave but you can't knock... More

We spent the weekend at the Chateau for our beautiful friends' wedding which we thoroughly enjoyed. Some of the rooms are very basic, but as we only used ours to pass out in this wasn't a problem. The only thing is the treacherous spiral staircase to our room...we couldn't get our bag upstairs so had to keep everything in the... More
