From the moment we arrived, we could not have felt more welcome. The whole property was clean and well presented with a great location. The breakfast was delicious and the room and bed were comfy. It was, however, the hosts warmth and helpfulness that made Ardnastruban House shine amongst a very strong field of places have stayed on our trip.... More

Stayed for 1 night before taking a ferry to Harris & Lewis early in the morning. Very nicely furnished twin bedroom with free wifi, tea and coffee making facilities, free parking and satellite TV. Quiet place making for a good night's sleep with spacious guest lounge where breakfast is served in the morning. Very friendly welcome by the owners and... More

Only spent two nights here, as part of a Hebridean island hopping holiday, but look back on the experience of staying in Margaret & Stuart's B&B, as good as any of the hotels we stayed in on the trip. Bedroom was very comfortable, with splendid view from the window, breakfast was beautifully cooked and served. Margaret was an excellent host,... More

We stayed here for 2 nights B&B and Margaret & Stewart were excellent. Tea, filter coffee and cake on arrival. Residents lounge, excellent Scottish breakfasts, lovely location and a hen-harrier flying past the window. What more could you want! The place was spotless and I would certainly stay here again. There were four of us so we had a double... More

We loved it here! Where to start... we were greeted by Margaret, one of our hosts, with a very warm welcome. Mum has mobility issues and couldn't get up the stairs to the bungalow so we were able to park on their private drive and Margaret helped Mum get in to the property and we were then offered tea and... Very welcoming, and accommodating of a crack of dawn departure to catch ferry. Lots of good suggestions for places to visit. Managed to spot a golden eagle following their advice. Would definitely recommend.

We stayed for three nights during our journey through the Hebrides. Margaret and Stuart are perfect hosts - very friendly and helpful. The house on Grimsay is a perfect base for exploring North and South Uist and Benbecula. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We were treated like family. There were four of us and everything was splendid. The view from the breakfast table was a beautiful vista. There were many thoughtful items that made our stay a delight. The Wisemans are gracious and very helpful hosts.

Stayed for two nights while working in the area. Received a warm welcome from Margaret, was given a comfortable room looking out the front of the house which gets a cracking sunset over the open expanses of North Uist (weather permitting!) and was given a lovely breakfast each morning also. No evening meal option here, although there is a restaurant... More
