Spectacular weather, views, beaches and skies made our annual stay even more memorable than last year. This was our sixth year at Langass. Staff wonderful, food superb, the rooms very comfortable. The dogs love it too. A real home from home for them. Thank you Amanda, Neill and Freddie and Zoey..........the food is really amazing . Breakfast is really wonderful... More

Our small double-room was in the old lodge, and that means very dark panelling, poor lighting, a great old-time bathroom, and wonderful character. We loved it! Dinner was a bit pricey, but delicious, and in a spacious and comfortable room. All the staff were professional, attentive, and kind, and the young woman who checked us in to the hotel was... More

We stayed one night as part of our tour of the Outer Hebrides. We stayed in room 1 which was quite small but beautifully done and really comfortable with a great view. The hotel is situated in a really isolated spot and we had a lovely walk to the nearby standing stones to work up an appetite for our meal.... More

An unusual hotel in this area but great experience and excellent quality. It is a old hunting lodge with some new bedrooms attached. Currently used mainly by fishing and shooting parties and also by the MoD from the nearby base. Good also for tourists. Run by a stylish "London" couple. The decoration is superb and the general ambiance excellent. Good... More

This lodge has two modern extensions to the tradition building. First the wing with modern rooms. We stayed in one of those rooms. It was large, with big windows and views over the garden and the loch. Secondly a new part to the restaurant, airy and light and also with the views. Unfortunately the noises from the kitchen were intrusive... More

We had one of the rooms in the old lodge part, with a bathroom big enough to host a cricket match and a very comfy bed - a lovely old-fashioned country house hotel feel to the place. The bar is excellent, with as might be expected no shortage of whiskies to try, and - very useful as it was incredibly... More

We had stayed at Langass on a previous occasion so knew what to expect and were not disappointed. I do wonder what some reviewers expect of a lodge so isolated that everything, probably with the exception of meat and fish, but certainly including staff , has to be imported by sea or air. Uist does not do five star luxury... More

Unfortunately only my second visit but already feels welcoming and familiar. So relaxing despite being here for work. The views, food, comfort, staff, quiet surroundings, lack of hustle & bustle and the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in make me never want to leave!

I have a small single number list of hotels which I consider to be outstanding, and have just added Langass Lodge to my list. Just a 3 night stay as being fully booked they could not accommodate me any longer, for the middle of September this speaks volumes. Everthing about the hotel is right, it is a mixture of old... Took an age to find someone who would acknowledge our presence. We eventually sat in the conservatory area, which had a lovely view out to the gardens. Shame the doughy microwaved scones (small, x2) were served with one small pat of Flora and peculiarly plastic jam. Tea and scones for 2 set us back £12.50, exorbitant given the service and... More
