We stayed here for one night and had a great time. We were camping in a tent and had a great pitch looking out to sea. The facilities are fantastic - bunkhouse, brilliant kitchen with cooker, fridge, microwave etc, spacious, clean, warm, powerful showers and drying room. Iain was a lovely host and will collect payment in the evenings! Will... More

Stayed in one of the best bunk houses ever. Facilities fantastic, clean and in the most beautiful environment. We had a warm and informative welcome from the owner, and all facilities were way beyond our expectations. The cost was low.

This is the second time I've stayed at this campsite and I'm looking forward to going back next year, I stayed in the bunkhouse for three nights and the hobbit house for four nights, the bunkhouse is immaculate and very comfortable and at £20 per night very reasonable, the hobbit house was £40 per night but is designed for two people so... A great campsite with a brilliantly well thought out campers kitchen - perfect for the windy wet days. Good shower block with everything you could want. The site is a little exposed so be careful where you pitch your tent but so are most sites here! Very friendly owners who checked we kept dry - much appreciated.

We are just back from a week staying in the bunkhouse at Moorcroft. What a brilliant place! The house is beautiful and really well equipped, extremely clean and well tended to. The location is perfect for exploring all the islands and really really reasonable for what you get! Iain and Catriona were lovely people and always about to help. We... More

What a fabulous oasis on North Uist. Beautifully restored bunkhouse spotlessly clean with all mod cons a family (especially a teenager) requires. We only stayed one night but highly recommend this. Catriona and Iain are wonderfully friendly and obliging. Look forward to returning in the future and maybe staying in one of their new hobbit houses!!

Stayed 2 nights in the Bunkhouse. Good size clean and comfortable rooms. Very clean kitchen and bathroom areas. We had a problem with our van and the owners were very helpful. The cleaner even let us use her phone as none of ours had a signal. Perfect location with access to the sandy beach. Would recommend a stay here.

Great place for tents, caravans, and motorhomes. The facilities are second to none. Wonderful sharing kitchen within a traditional old stone bothy, complete with original pulley for hanging up clothes. Toilets and shower facilities clean and modern. Be prepared for catching the wind though, buckle down and enjoy the view.

Husband and I camped her for 1 night. The owner was really friendly and welcoming. The shower block was very modern and the separate little bunkhouse kitchen was fab. We would stay here again perhaps in a Hobbit hut as they looked good.

We were lucky enough to stay in one of the two Hutch houses which are new to this campsite and it was great! If you are tired of traditional mobile homes or pitching tents everywhere you go the Hutch House is glamping on a new scale! The house was small but fully equipped with everything you could need: heating, plugs,... More
