Very cosy little B&B in a wonderful location right on beach with the fantastic nature reserve immediately beside it. The bed was comfortable and room had everything needed. Only thing we didn't like was the one big breakfast table for all guests (6 if all rooms occupied) but that's just a personal opinion. Lady was friendly and helpful.

Located overlooking a beautiful bay and white sand beach on the Balranald RSPB reserve. Mrs Simpson was very understanding when we didn't arrive until 10.30pm and we found spotless bedroom, comfy beds and a good cooked breakfast. What's not to like ? No. TV in bedroom but we watched the late night World Cup game in the lounge, with a...

The location is excellent for visiting the nearby RSPB reserve. The Room was comfortable and the breakfast was good Scottish fare. Mrs Simpson runs a good B&B and is rather reserved in her manner but is very helpful.

We stayed at Sgeir Ruadh for 4 nights in September 2011. The location is wonderful. The rooms are small and basic, but clean. We compensated for the lack of space by spending more time in the lounge, which has a lovely view. The food was good. Our only real complaint was that the matress wasn't very comfy. After complaining mrs...

Good stay, a little expensive given the facilities. Didn't find the owner very friendly and a little cold for a B&B owner. I dont like flat pack furniture in a room. No real complaints other than it could be better.

We stayed here for four nights and were made very welcome by the owner Kathy Simpson. The house is facing the bay and the RSPB Balranald Nature Reserve. We had a lovely stay with good breakfasts, and a nice lounge for guests where we could catch up with the TV news, read the various information on the local area and...

Mrs Simpson can be described as unfriendly, or as Bonniebraes said: "efficient and polite though not exactly friendly". In such a remote location one would definitely wish for more warmth. The bacon was off. The room was very small, the ensuite bathroom tiny.
