Very light, airy, spacious, attractive and comfortable accommodation, with great views all round. Jac was very hospitable throughout, great conversation, and we felt at our ease. Facilities are all excellent, and Jac was very helpful with suggestions for restaurants etc.

We spent 2 nights at Jac's and really enjoyed our stay. Our room was very comfortable and light and airy and we were made to feel very welcome. There are some great places to visit nearby in terms of the beach and local countryside and we were fortunate to see all sorts of birds from our room including owls and... More

Bagh Alluin has to be the best B&B I have ever stayed in; a lovely large room, big bathroom, wonderful views and a great host. Jac also arranged for us to stay for one night, when he was full, in a friendly nearby croft. This area is amazing for wildlife, we saw eagles on several occasions. Would love to return... More

This was our second visit to Jac's excellent b&b on the beautiful island of Baleshare. We received a very warm welcome and were made to feel very much at home here. I've stayed in a lot of B&Bs around Scotland in the last couple of years, but have never come across anywhere else like this - it's the combination of... More

Had a wonderful time in this very relaxed and clean B and B . Great host who is very welcoming and knowledgeable about the islands, and serves a delicious breakfast. Fab views from the upstairs room - see photos. Friendly peta and sheep! Good area for great walks , beaches and birdwatching . We'll definitely be back!

You turn up at the ferry port Lochmaddy and wend your way through the most extraordinary landscape of peat bog, hills and endless skies. The remains of the clearance houses stand in silent sentinel. The farmhouse has been beautifully convereted to create a special bedroom with views on three sides. The bedroom seemed to float in the light of the... More

We had a fabulous stay with Jac who made us feel most welcome. The view from our room was stunning and we could see across the fields to the sea. The accommodation was clean and spacious, the bed extremely comfortable - the room decorated with Jac's spectacular art work. Jac was a fantastic host and served up a delicious continental... More

What a beautiful hideaway! Myself and my mum (76) visited Jac's place last week and what a treat we had. Jac is the perfect host, welcoming and attentive. He has an old dog and cat which for me was great, but if your not into animals they are very well trained and Jac keeps them away if needed. There are... More

This has to be my favourite bed & breakfast, not just because of its location - which is totally stunning - or the accommodation - which gives the impression of actually being part of the views outside (room downstairs) and is spacious and clean - but also the warm welcome from Jac & Peg (Collie). This was our fourth visit... More

We stayed for 3 days with Jac in Bagh Alluin. He could not have been a better host. He gave us a map with all the good spots to see marked on it and recommended some great places to eat which we would never have found by ourselves. We met his dog, cat and semi adopted tame sheep from the... More
