Detailed Reviews
My partner and I, a couple entering our senior years, stayed for 11 nights on a bed and breakfast tariff. We were a little concerned about potential noise, having read about the night life for young people in the town. We need not have worried - the hotel is just far enough from the centre to be protected from the noise.
The room was quite spacious, very comfortable and kept immaculately clean.
The breakfast buffet is extensive and just off to the side a lovely lady will cook you omelettes or fried eggs and bacon or pancakes. In answer to the idiot comment about the breakfast being the same every day, I would ask how great a range is he offered at home???
The hotel is a bit cheeky about food and drinks on the beach, since the beach, like all Greek beaches, is state owned. Also the non-all-inclusive price for a litre of chilled tap water is Euro 3.80! However, if you are discreet with your bottles water, they don't hassle you.
We didn't eat in the hotel, other than breakfast, but the local tavernas are good, especially The Village, Olympia and Roussos.
The beach is kept spotlessly clean and the sea is very calm and very shallow for the first 40 metres or so. Water sports choices are available close by.

We have just returned from 10 days staying half board in a swim up room and had an amazing time staying here! Having read some of the reviews I do wonder what peoples expectations are?!
Positives are the incredible reception staff ( thank you Ketti and Ines) and the cleaning staff too. Nothing was too much trouble and no enquiry too small. The rooms, general areas and pools were spotless. There are lots of intricate Greek mythology mosaics around which are quite cool to look at.
Food was good and plentiful, perhaps a bit repetitive but same as the buffets I have had in many other hotels that try to cater for all tastes. There could perhaps be more vegetarian choices with labelling for allergies?
We loved the fresh orange juice and omelette station!
There were plenty of seating in the dining areas and equally recliners around the pools and on the beautiful beach so no panic about not getting one!
We did book two activities- the morning horse ride on a beach, and the speedboat trip to Paxos, Antipaxos and the Blue Caves. Both were great but take your own parasol or be aware there is a charge at the Antipaxos beach of €15 per two deck chairs for the hour you are there!
We love Mexican so couldn’t resist trying Desperado’s. (See review). No regrets going there!! And we enjoyed seeing the Greek dancing and plate smashing at the Village Taverna later in the evening. Lovely guys there!
I can’t think of any negatives to be honest apart from Kavos itself is definitely a partying place for people probably at least 30 years younger than us! Kavos isn’t a cute typically Greek place you’d drive to visit. The road down to the hotel doesn’t lend you to what a nice hotel it leads to so don’t panic!
That said Cavomarina Beach was a lovely place to stay and staff really went all out to ensure you enjoyed your stay! 10/10 from us!

The hotel staff, especially front of house, were amazing, they couldn't do enough for us.
We originally booked a sea view room, however the hotel was fully booked so they offered us a mountain view room. We explained to the staff that we had paid extra for the sea view and they kindly gave us a free upgrade with a private pool!
The food options were plentiful and there was a good choice for everyone.
The location was absolutely amazing. We got engaged on this holiday and the manager or the hotel could not do enough for our special day, setting up the scene on the beach etc. We cannot thank them enough for what they have done!
Cavomarina will always have a very special place in our hearts!

Just arrived back from a week at the hotel.
We arrived through the night the man who checked us in very helpful , the holiday was me and my son we asked for 2 beds in the room when we arrived only 1 bed , we spoke to reception and they put another bed in the room after a debate with the lady on reception who tries to be very domineering.
Food ok just typical Greek food.
Bar drinks very expensive in fact rediculous , plenty of shops for cheaper drinks etc.
Mitch the restaurant manager very nice and helpful.
Rooms very small but cleaned daily.
Great location directly on the beach.

So me & my partner stayed at the Cavomarina for 10 days in July. The hotel was lovely! The room, the hallways, the dining room were all 10/10. The two ladies on reception are absolutely lovely & nothing is too much trouble! The pool is a lovely temperature & was always clean! The beach is also beautiful, sunbeds are always available & the waiter service on the beach is a nice little touch. We only stayed for bed & breakfast. The breakfast was ok.. it was 100% the same every morning but it wasn’t bad food! Just your typical breakfast on holiday.
Kavos itself is very very rundown. It’s full of 18-21 year olds day & night. Theres your typical punch machines all over the place which young lads like to do to impress their mates. There are balloon canisters all over the strip. I mean if your in that age range & that’s your thing then you’ll love it! The best thing about kavos was the restaurants! There was some amazing restaurants & we didn’t eat a bad meal! ‘Terry’s’ is more fine dining & definitely one to try! It’s left onto the strip, then left again at the Tex mex, then follow it round & it’s on your right. But I would recommend trying all the restaurants there because they are all amazing! Staff were all amazing too!
We got a quad for 4 days & drove into corfu old town one day (1.5 hour each way so very hot) but defo worth a visit! Lovely cobble streets with shops bars & restaurants etc. We also done a boat trip to syvita village & this is the most beautiful place! Please visit here if you get the chance! (Also see dolphins on the boat trip)
Over all if I could take the cavomarina hotel & the restaurants out of kavos & put them in another part or corfu I would of! They are almost waisted in kavos! I would recommend the cavomarina hotel though! Beautiful place & I already miss it!

Here at the moment. Rooms are nice you have what you need and they are cleaned daily. We have a swim up room which is perfect for the two of us. All the staff are lovely apart from one guy on the bar very rude! Downside in my opinion we are all inclusive and drinks stop at 9. We’re not big alcohol drinkers but we liked a drink with our evening meal, by drink I mean Pepsi max only to be told it has gone 9pm and we cannot have one unless we pay! it was 9.02pm! I can understand alcohol stopping at 9pm but not soft or hot drinks. We have paid for drinks on more than one occasion as all inclusive does not start until 12pm. Very expensive if you’re not all inclusive. Breakfast is nice good selection. Lunch and dinner was nice the first two days but then very repetitive we’ve eaten out a few times. The food has always been hot just a shame not a lot of choice. I feel like if your all inclusive they don’t care as much but if your paying as you go your treated like royalty. Nice hotel just little things need to change we wouldn’t return based on current opinion.

Response from Florian Söhnel, General Manager at Cavomarina Beach
Responded May 7, 2024
Dear Traveller, Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We're thrilled to hear you enjoyed our comfortable rooms and the convenience of our swim-up room upgrade. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused by the service you received at the bar. Rest assured, we take all feedback seriously, and we will address this matter with our team to ensure it doesn't happen again. Never heard before that a staffmember was rude to anyone. Regarding our all-inclusive offering, we understand your concerns and appreciate your feedback. We strive to provide transparency about our "Light all-inclusive" package, as stated during booking. Your input regarding the timing of drink service is duly noted, and we will assess how we can improve this aspect of the information you get before booking this option. We're glad you enjoyed our breakfast selection and the quality of our meals, although we regret to hear about the repetitive nature of the menu during your stay. Your comments will be shared with our culinary team for further evaluation and enhancement. We value your patronage and regret to learn that your experience fell short of expectations. Please know that your feedback is invaluable to us, and we will use it to refine our offerings and services further. What a lovely hotel, set off the main strip with amazing views of the beach and the Greek mainland. It’s a very short walk to the main strip which is full of bars and restaurants but you cannot hear any of this from the hotel. We ended up booking here as a last minute deal as we sadly had to cancel our original holiday due to a family emergency but this hotel ended up being much nicer than our original hotel. The staff were so kind and helpful, the pool is lovely (quite shallow though which may suit some) and the views from the beach are beautiful. May be worth noting almost all of the sun beds are on the hotel’s beach and not around the pool, there were always plenty for the guests though! The food at the hotel was nice too. Our room had a lovely Mountain View, was a good size & had plenty of wardrobe space. My only slight criticism is that the shower is quite small so the water does go on the floor and the hairdryer is not very powerful. Other than that, cannot fault the hotel or the staff and they made our trip very pleasant. There are so many nice restaurants nearby such as: The Steakhouse, Kavos Golden Courser Chinese/Thai, Falconera, Contessa and The Real Greek. There’s so many local bars to choose from but if you would like some entertainment and great hospitality I would recommend Maria’s karaoke bar. I would highly recommend doing a boat trip to the Blue Lagoon and Sivota (on the mainland), you get to go swimming with fishes and stroll around the beautiful fishing village. Overall a lovely place with something for everyone!

We stayed at Cavomarina Beach hotel for 7 nights. From the time we have arrived which was at 2am, Spiros at the reception desk (he works nights), welcomed us and made us feel at home. He offered us some light bite to eat and helped us to the room. He is very friendly, professional and with a great sense of humour.
We had a slight issue with a room, however it was fixed the next morning and we were upgraded to the VIP rooms with a private (only between 10 rooms) pool. The room was immaculate and was cleaned every day and provided with fresh towels, A/C works perfectly and room has a fridge.
We were on all inclusive board and it was totally worth it. The food was great and every night there was a different cuisine from all over the world with entertainment to match (e.g. live singers, dancers etc.). Drinks were great and I had my first Metaxa ;)
The beach is just outside the restaurant so close and convenient, sandy and clean with loads of sunbeds to choose from.
The highlight of our stay was the staff, I cannot stress enough how wonderful each and every single one of the person who works there (the maintenance guy, the housekeeping lady, the reception ladies, the kitchen lot, the bar and waiters) are extremely friendly and they treat you as a family. Katy and Ines at the reception are ever so helpful, friendly and professional at the same time.
Especial thanks to Fotini, she made us laugh so much and was the highlight of our stay. I really wanted to take her home with me, she is sooooo sooo sweet and friendly, we didn't stop laughing every time we saw her be it at breakfast or lunch or dinner.
I myself work in a hospitality industry in one the Hilton's hotel at the Front Office and I have to say the standard of the staff's customer service skills is the best at Cavomarina - they really look after you and make sure you have a wonderful stay experience - 5 star ***** standard.
Thank you so much for providing such a high standard of hospitality and make our holiday to remember forever!
