We where 30 adults and kids spending a weekend at Medevi. The unique peaceful village for ourselves. Very nice breakfast served at the restaurant (very pittoresque with glass terrasse) also nice dinner. Not the high end food but very nice. 5 minutes with car to nice beach at lake Vättern with possibility to have own barbeque. We enjoyed the beautiful... More

Clean and well maintained in a heritage environment. Staff are friendly. Room small with no queen or king size bed for couples. (2x single beds put together with 2x single doona's, which is typical Scandinavian) No bath but shower has good hot water pressure that does not run out. Continental breakfast that is acceptable (but not a Micheline range). A... More

This used to be a great place, but it has gone downhill. It is a peaceful place with live music and nice traditions, nice atmosphere. The restaurant is to expensive and the mini golf course is a most a pile of wood. I would like to rate this place so much higher since it used to and could again be... More

Medevi Well (Medevi Brunn in Swedish) is the oldest spa town in Sweden. When the water spring was discovered in 1678, the Royal Court actively supported the build-up of a health resort for the nobility. The condition for the support was that a hospital for the poor was also constructed, which came to be in operation until 1982. Today, Medevi... More

Medevi is really quaint set in a beautiful location. Accommodation is luxury - 17th and 18th century country style. Not 5 star by a long shot by contemporary standards. Who cares? You're part of history complete with 19th and 18th century customs that are practiced to this day. Drink from the well - eternal youth, wellness and happiness assured. Something... More

This is a hostel, so you can't expect the same comfort as in a hotel. Medevi is an old spa-resort dating back to the 18th and 19th century and the hostel is situated in the houses furthest away in the park, but you can take your car all the way if you'd like. If the hostel is not full you... More
