A beautifully quiet location. We had an amazing seafront room. Generous size with the bonus of a comfy couch, and the most amazing views. The mattress was hard, but the addition of a pool lounger cushion sorted that out. Staff were extremely attentive and helpful, and we were welcomed to the point of being asked to join a private family... More

This has been the first time we have visited Ko Yao Yai although we have seen it from Klong Muang, Krabi many times and wondered what was there. We chose Thiwson Beach because of its nearness to Chong Lad pier and from the many positive reviews of other travellers. We were not disappointed. We had a beachfront bungalow which provided... Wonderful bungalows with a wonderful view ! Great pool! I would say the best on the island. The family that runs the place is very nice! You can rent a bike at the hotel or get a massage at the beach. The breakfast was also very good! All in all a great place to be! Thank you!

Just at the beachfront with a nice pool just beside the restaurant area. The rooms are OK but I found the mattress in my room to soft. We stayed in the rainy season and a fan is super for this time a year. Outside toilet is cool but annoying when is rains. The staff is friendly and helpful but sometimes... More

The resort had a great room and view of the water, along with delicious food for lunch and dinner! However we were disappointed with paying the well overpriced taxi fee to travel to and from the resort, which was only a short 5 minute drive. Overall it was a beautiful and relaxing experience

The best that this resort has to offer - an impeccable sunrise view and stretch of beach for sunrise jogging. The huts are quite cozy, yet imho do not match the price asked. The service is blunt. The breakfast is not very diverse and overall not quite fulfilling. The restaurant is pricey. Overall - it's an ok midrange place to... More

We stayed for four nights in May in a hill top room. The room was great, clean and the bed was comfy. The air conditioning in the room was just able to cope with the heat of May. The porch was awesome to relax on. We had breakfast each day at the restaurant, it was simple, but filling and tasty.... More

This was a lovely quiet beach, perfect for families as the sea is lovely and shallow and close to the sand, beautiful golden beach and clear sea, some fantastic gift shops and lovely beach front restaurants. The Menu's were in several languages making it easy to understand

This was supposed to be the relaxation highlight of the 2-week trip to Thailand with my wife and two children age 4 and 7. Although the small resort is charming and well maintained, the service leaves a lot to be desired for. Understanding English past 2-word combinations would for one thing solve a lot of issues and I strongly advise... More

I travelled to Koh Yao Yai in April 2016. I stayed at This Son Beach Resort for three nights. The location of the resort is beautiful. I booked a top hill room and it was so private and relaxing... there are only four rooms on the hill and a huge pool to share. The bedroom is huge, the bed very... More
