The hotel reception of this hotel doubles as a super cozy café which offers seriously delicious cakes! Thus, the first impression was truly great, and the rest of my one night stay didn't disappoint either. The room was very clean, well equipped, and the bathroom offered some pretty neat details (e.g. the water tap and shower head) in line with the overall historic theme of this hotel (and its adjacent restaurant). The breakfast (included in the rate) was pretty good too.
In combination with great evening experience in restaurant was hotel room clean and with very warm feeling. Excellent service including breakfast served. Great value for your money if you like friendly small hotels.
It’s a very nice and clean hotel, with very friendly staff both at reception and at the breakfast Rooms are big and spacious but not really sound proof so if you have a noisy neighbour it could be an issue. The restaurant on site is serving beer which is brewed on site which is very very good !! Food is also good quality I would definitely recommend
We had a one night stay there, and it was a great choice. Really nice classic building, nicely renovated big rooms, very good location in the eart of the city, and finally really good dinner and breakfast. So... only positive feelings...
I booked a room and I got a regular, two bed apartment with kitchen, it felt bit like staying at granny's. Nice. Clean and relatively quiet, considering it's at a main street. But I stayed there in January so didn't open any windows, summertime might be a different story as I don't remember a/c unit there. There is a carpark at the back but I didn't bother and left the car along the street, as parking is free through the night till 8 or 9am. Nice breakfast too.
World class food and service.Arrived 7am to find the cafe section open for breakfast and coffee.Coffee was first class and the food equally so.We met the Brewmaster who happened to be a woman no surprise here but she was most informative and obliging. We were granted a tour of the brewery as a treat and then met the owner who was equally obliging. The building has been refurbished to maintain the original theme. The decor is stunning with lots of wood work and comfortable and cosy booths. The place is immaculately clean in all areas. We didnt look at the hotel but can only imagine its first class.Cant wait to return and catch up with the friendly staff.Sorry we didn't check out the Hotel so cant make a comment on the tariff.
2nd year we've come here and it's still as good. I had the goulash, which was lovely. They've added menus in English, which helps. Service is efficient and friendly. Good value. Variety of beers brewed on the premises.
Big rooms with comfortable beds and luxury equipment. Everything perfectly clean. Very good breakfasts, do you want ham? eggs? or something sweet? No problem - plenty of everything. Services and staff on high level.
A group of us were introduced to Monopol by a local friend. This former theatre has been lavishly converted into a microbrewery, bar and restaurant. We were given a tour of the brewery, then had meals of the highest quality - local dishes such as pork knuckle or veal cheeks. The beer was the best I've had in Czech. I had the lager, some friends said the IPA was excellent as well. The service was first rate, too - some English is spoken by the waitresses, which helped. When three of us went back the following night, we were welcomed as old friends. I cannot recommend this place highly enough.
