Wailiti has every chance of being an exceptionally good hotel in Maumere. The pool is large, the beds too and the wifi is working. And prices are reasonable. However, the place is deserted. We were there for 3 days and were the only people staying there for at least 2 of the nights, despite some 50 rooms. Wailiti does not,... More

This hotel is quite OK. The rooms are confortable and clean with a decent bathroom, good and clean beds. The breakfast the first day was 'finished', nothing left for us. After a little negotiation, the staff made us a nice pancake and fresh fruit. Next day all was fine with breakfast. The restaurant is ok with good selection of dishes.... More

Stayed here as the last stop on a tour of Flores but it would not be my choice. Arrived on a Sunday afternoon and the pool and surrounding area were full of locals having a fun time (is this an Indonesian tradition as e saw it in other hotels ?) It calmed down later when they left, but it appears... More

Just stayed here one night - fair to say we were not impressed. Had not seen the reviews on here and we're working off a lonely planet recommendation as we had no wifi whilst travelling across Flores. As other reviews seem to state, the place is a ghost town. Staff outnumbered guests about 10 to 1 it seemed. Unfortunately staff... More

If you're up for a place where there's no one to talk to, (even the staff because nobody speaks english) then this is the place for you. Far enough out of town that you're basically trapped, there's no room for bargaining for a room, even though there is nobody staying with them. It's clean, the rooms are great, the beach... More

Well...what to say about this place. The fact that the staff would probably split their heads open for you, if you asked, must figure in somewhere. These have got to be the nicest staff I've run across, in a country where nice staff is a rule. Most of them don't speak much English, so for God's sake, be patient with... More

I stayed for a week as part of an official training/retreat. The place was secluded, and very peaceful / laid back. The sea is right in front - provides great photo opportunities, and perfect for just sitting back, relaxing and taking in the view. However, the shore is not at all appropriate for regular beach activities. The cottages were great... More

It's a nice place but like others before me mentioned, it gives a bit of a worn out impression, could be nicer if they made some upgrades around the property. But the bungalows are pretty good: comfortable beds, tv, spacious bathroom, private terrace. Pool is a nice extra and it was kept clean. Not a lot of poolbeds though. Food:... More

Stayed here for one night after a late afternoon flight into maumere. Large and spread out but deserted and pretty creepy. It's a large place and perhaps used to be popular but now most of it seems to have fallen into disrepair. Staff speak very minimal English and kindly directed a random tout who was trying to sell us a... More

We stayed here for one night at the end of a Flores road trip from Labuan Bajo to Maumere. The beachfront cabin-style accommodation on offer was fine. It wasn't the best or the worst we experienced on Flores but it would benefit from some updating. We ate at the restaurant which was also fine. The weird thing about staying here... More
