Lovely stay friendly staff.sorted a problem we had with the booking straight away which was not their fault but the travel agent we had used. Breakfast in morning which was buffet bacon eggs beans selection of continental. Always managed to find a bed round the pool. Room was all we needed for the 2 weeks across the road from main building which was no problem at all Pop across the grass to a little cafe husband and wife run it. The most friendly people you can meet and great bubble waffles and milkshakes of many flavours

The staff at the hotel were very friendly. Good location near bars and restaurants but as it was end of season, many were closed and the area felt abandoned. Rooms are basic but kept very clean. Biggest letdown was the food. Breakfast was the same every day with 2 choices of unknown cereal, tinned fruit cocktail, processed ham and cheese, greasy bacon, rubbery scrambled eggs and tasteless beans. Even the tea was so weak that it needed at least 2 tea bags to get any flavour. Evening meals were ok if you like salad. There was a choice of 3 hot dishes which were just ok but never really hot enough from the buffet and often seemed dried out from sitting in the trays too long. The entertainment was mixed and I think depends on your taste. In my week, there were 2 karaoke nights and some of the singers weren’t too bad. Unfortunately on our last night this went on until well after 1am and with an early start for the airport, made it difficult to sleep due to the noise. Other nights finished before midnight so was acceptable. The Greek night was good fun. The weather was perfect and hotter than expected for October although chilly at night and until about 10 am in the mornings. Sun beds were plentiful and quite comfortable. If you want a lazy holiday and stay in a room on a room only basis, then this is ideal.

We stayed at the Alkion for 1 week in September after being on a Marbella Discovery Cruise for 1 week, we didnt really know what to expect just knew Sidari had a good name. Upon arriving we came from the bus off the cruise, so was a large amount, but upon check in only waited 5 mins to get the luggage up to the room, we stayed in room 305, was on the 1st floor overlooking a house at the back, was ok after all we only slept in the room. Room was spacious with 2 single beds that we pushed together, a fridge which was locked and air con and the bathroom with the shower over the bath the room needed updating, and suggest it was modernized. The water in the bathroom after a shower sometimes took a while to go away, but not a huge issue upon putting the shower on the smell was bad smelt like rotten eggs. We paid €10 for the fridge and €15 for the air con as we needed it, I was surprised that it had to be paid for as this was a hotel used by TUI, but we needed it and it was chargeable, so we paid it. Food was ok continental breakfast with cereals, and some hot food, beans, bacon and scrambled egg, toast you had to do yourself, ok we felt. We had lunch a few times in the hotel club sandwich and steak sandwich are highly recommended. Dinner was ok 2, no issues. Pool area good nice childrens area then pool was shallow leading to deep end, sunbeds wherent an issue either. Entertainment in the hotel every night aswell was ok. We done a shopping tour into corfu 1 night that was good and another day we hired a buggy for the day and toured the northern side the island ourselves which we loved for 12hours the hire was €80, brilliant and highly recommended also. All in all had a great holiday, Sidari was nice most pubs had tribute acts that were ok.

Stayed at Alkyon for 1 week after a recommend and would definitely go again. We were pleasantly surprised on arrival, the hotel looks really nice with lovely gardens and pool area. Rooms were fine, well furnished, a fridge and decent balcony. The bathroom was a fair size with a good warm working shower. Breakfast was cereal and continental style with basic cooked available, tea/coffee and fruit juice. Plenty to choose from at dinner, soup starter with bread rolls, usually at least 3 meat options and a fish, veg & potatoes to accompany and desserts for sweet. Situated in a good central location, 5 mins from the main street and 10-15 mins from Canal D'Amour. Staff were great with us, friendly and helpful. Our only gripe was we were supposed to get air con with the room, the remote didn't work and on asking staff a couple of times it never got sorted. Luckily enough with the time of year we weren't in desperate need for it but in the height of summer it will be a must.
