We had our honeymoon at the Wave in Sidari and was really impressed with the standard of accommodation and customer service. The owner was really lovely and could not do enough for us. He even gave us a bottle of prosecco as a wedding gift. The apartment we had was overlooking the sea and had a good sized balcony. Behind the apartment was a huge veranda where you could dry clothes and also had a good dining area if you just wanted a few drinks before going out. The pool area was well maintained and had a nice jacuzzi. Very quiet location away from the main strip which was about 20 minutes walk away. The Fever Bar was a good place to ear and drink as well which was on the way to the main strip in Sidari. We will definitely come back as we had a lovely time and was well looked after many thanks for making our honeymoon so special !

If you are looking for accommodation away from the noisy shopping street area with comfort, a nice host, for excellent prices, come to The Wave! We arrived late in the evening, dirty and sweaty from the relatively long walk from the bus stop in the heat and were invited for a nice glass of iced orange juice that brought us back to life. Once we cooled down, we were shown to our perfect apartment where we spent our three nights. It looked just as good as the pictures. The double bed apartment came with a well-equipped kitchen and a nice balcony with a view to the pool (~€160 for the two of us for 3 nights). The bed was luxurious, as well as the shower. Everything was very clean. The studio had good AC too (no extra fee). The only thing we slightly missed was some kind of coffee maker, but there was a kettle for instant (or Greek/Turkish, if that's your thing) coffee. There is a nice, large pool with comfy sunbeds and a jacuzzi. There is a sandy (not 100% sand, the rougher kind) beach just a few steps away from the apartment. The bars and tavernas start appearing after a ~10 minute walk into the town. The bus stop is around 20–30 minutes from what I remember. If you are on foot, I recommend shopping not near the centre (main street), but more in the inland direction, there are some larger discount stores with slightly better prices. The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming, they never failed to greet us with a smile and ask us how we are doing. We noticed that the kitchen lamp was not working on the day we arrived and they quikcly swapped it the next morning. Do not forget to visit the Wave restaurant either! We had fantastic beef stew by ‘Mama’ that was otherworldly. The pork souvlaki were also scrumptious. Prices are quite resonable, too; we saw many people popping in for a meal who were not otherwise guests. We will definitely be coming back and we can only recommend The Wave to anybody visiting Sidari. You won’t regret it!

Fabulous apartments just outside Sidari in a beautiful setting, away from all the hustle and bustle but within walking distance to enjoy the nightlife. The accommodation is clean and comfortable, Nikos is the best host you could imagine. He is so lovely and we really enjoyed seeing him again. The food…AMAZING! We had our best meal here on both our visits. This time my husband had the tomahawk pork chop and I had seafood orzo with a tomato and ouzo sauce, both dishes absolutely superb. Homemade cake and icecream for dessert which was delicious. This is the first time in 17 years of being together that we have gone back to the same place. Says it all. We can’t wait to go back!

Location location location. What a real little jewel tucked away in Sidari. This was a short notice get away from Florida to Corfu and The Wave was a place to stay in the northern part of the island before Corfu town . It’s right on the ocean and the room , pool and facilities were all really clean , our room just charming. It comes with a little kitchenette. It’s actually like a hotel. Has a full bar and restaurant with the most amazing home cooked food. It’s a family run business and Nicholas could not do enough for us. Great hospitality. Breakfast is also available and just as good. It’s literally a 15 minute walk to main town of Sidari and a base to drive around and see the northern part of the island. The most stunning sunsets to see from this place. You won’t regret staying here. It’s excellent.

The Wave is essentially run by brothers Nicos and Christos with Mum and Dad in the background. The brothers essentially provide the character to the hotel; relaxed and super friendly. Pool area is fantastic and overlooks the sea which is just 10m away. Rooms are fairly basic, toward the shabby-chic end of the market with each one having the main bedroom, kitchenette, bathroom and a large terrace (on ground floor). There is an efficient daily maid service that starts late morning and is unobtrusive. On-site food is high quality but more needs to be done to promote evening dining. The Wave is a 10-15 minute walk from the main town, however there are numerous bars and eateries along the way. It also has its own small collection of on-site cats who are very friendly.

We have just returned from The Wave and want to return already. This accommodation in amazing for the price. The apartment is clean the bed is very large and has a mattress topper so is very comfortable. The rooms were cleaned very well during our stay. The pool is very clean and the sunbeds are really comfortable with cushions on them. The location is great as it's quiet so we had super sleep but it's only a 15 minute walk to Sidari center along the waters edge. You can access the sea to swim straight outside the complex. The food was super. We had most dishes and they were all wonderful and freshly made. The drinks are of great quality. We will definitely return. This is a family run business and all the family were friendly helpful and welcoming. They arrange airports transfers and car hire too. We had a convertible fiat 500 was which great as the roads are narrow so you don't want a large car. You do need insect repellant in Corfu so take a good one with you or buy a deet product in the supermarket as citronella didn't work.

We stayed for two week (end July/beginning Aug) and found the hotel to be great. We stayed in apt 1 which has a double room and en suite with a second bedroom with 2 single beds. Think there was also a sofa bed too if needed. A second bathroom as well. Small kitchen area with seating (microwave and good hob, fridge/freezer, kettle etc...) Aircon in both rooms which worked well and double glazing throughout. Rooms were cleaned and new towels regularly. Being about 10 mins out of Sidari means it is very quiet during the day and night (unlike Sidari, which is louder and has lots of bars/restaurants. The pool is a good size and they have a jacuzzi area too. The sunbeds were the best we've had in a hotel like this - decent padded beds and good cover from stationary parasols. The pool area was also quiet during the day and we always got a spot even when we went down at 11am. The bar serves good drinks and is well attended. The surroundings are lovely too with views out to sea (over a very quiet road out the front) and over the hills/mountains behind. The family that runs the hotel are very friendly (especially the 2 brother Christos and Nikos who we dealt with mostly) and will always try to sort anything you need (they sorted car hire for us, which worked well as it was dropped off at 10am and picked up at 9pm). Places in town get you to pick up yourself at 8am and drop off much earlier. The food at the restaurant is excellent and we ate there several times for breakfast/lunch and dinner. All in all we had a great holiday and agreed that, although we don't normally return to the same place, if we returned to Corfu we would happily come here again. See separate review for Sidari.

Can't fault The Wave, welcoming from the time we arrived to when we left. Great view from the 2 bed apartment. We ate at different places but the Wave food was the best especially the calamari , whitebait and feta in the oven. Will be returning.
