We had a nice big room with a balcony overlooking the river. Very well maintained. Couldn’t be more central. Service at breakfast was very good. Christine and her husband run this hotel very efficiently. This was a positive but the downside was that this sometimes meant things were not always customer friendly.
The welcome was warm, friendly and helpful, the rooms comfortable and clean and the shower had plenty of hot water!! The breakfast was good but limited. The location is great- very central but without having to cope with dragging your luggage over cobblestones!! There is a lift to make access to upper levels easy but the staircase of old wood is beautiful.
it feels like you are stepping in to Christines home (although rather large and beautiful). Our stay was everything we could have asked for from the moment we opened the door being met by Christine. This home is run by family and has been in family possession for 350 years! The food (cooked by Christine’s husband) is superb and delightfully presented. We felt spoiled when all we were really looking for was a good nights sleep and a good meal before tackling the Camino. The quality far surpassed our expectations. You will not be disappointed. Merci beaucoup from Richard and Karen
This hotel, run by a French couple is one of the nicest places I’ve stayed. It’s a 350 year old building in wonderful condition, beautifully run, clean and incredibly comfortable. The hosts are very friendly and helpful and the breakfast is fresh and sufficient. The hotel is in the centre of town, giving easy access to what ever one wishes to do. There is a restaurant on site, but I did not eat at it.
A perfect simple start to our holiday. Our room was large, basic but clean with a lovely big bed and everything you would need in a very simple way, with lovely views of the river. The owner was delightful, service excellent and food good. As the name suggests it is located in a perfect location for exploring the pretty town.
