Nice but WAY WAY overpriced for the level of service and lack of certain things. Our rooms had only 1 bath towel per person and no pool towels even though we had private pool. No hair dryer in bathroom. Wood chez lounges on our private deck didn’t have cushions so horribly uncomfortable. 2nd bedroom turned out to be a loft open to living area with shared bath downstairs, not much privacy. Beach is great with complimentary paddle boards and other water toys, comfy beds, and food was consistently really good, but no service at beach chairs.

What can you say about the Abaco Club other than WOW! I've had some of the most amazing experiences in my life at this incredible resort. The beach is straight out of Fantasy Island and I feel the golf course really couldn't get any better. The best in all of the Bahamas. If you looking to get more information don't hesitate to call the membership Director Kristi Hull. She is amazing and makes you feel like a member before your even one. If you love the beach, golf, fishing and looking for a way to disconnect from the craziness of life. This is your spot!

This private club offers many housing types and vistas but we were cozy and indulged in the heavenly cabanas with screened in porches. It boasts two remarkable features: an endless bay protected by a small isle with heavenly sand and a truly awesome 18 hole golf course. The latter combines pause-worthy beauty and blue-tee difficulty. Food is selective and tasty while the very clean gym offers challenging equipment bordered by a go-back-to-multiple-times spa. Very expensive.

Thank you for sharing your review, Daisy. We're so glad you enjoyed your stay in one of our delightful cabanas and made use of our stunning private beach and tropical links course during your visit. As you described, we combine modern comfort with old Bahamian style to provide guests, members, and residents with a luxurious experience that is unmatched in the Caribbean. We're thrilled to hear that you enjoyed a 5-star experience at The Abaco Club! -Greg Sherwood

Amazing place only superseded by its amazing staff and management team. Where else can you find a 2.5 mile private sugar sand crescent beach dovetailed into a world class golf course(you can eat off the fairways), nowhere except at the Abaco Club on Winding Bay. The waters were as clear and calm as bath water illuminating different shades of blue from its varying depths, all guaranteed by Kristi Hull, their Director of Sales, as this was a must for us to visit. I realize our stay was in mid-April, but maybe 7 people on the entire beach at one time, amazing! Our Cabana & Cottage(both stand alone structures, no sharing walls with neighbors), we stayed in both, were excellent, super clean, open floor plans, relaxing with great views. All other amenities followed suit from their food, their cocktails, their two wonderful restaurants and even their golf cart which was provided to us during our 5 day stay. As I alluded to in my first sentence, the people and staff of a resort are what truly differentiates one from the other .. the people, staff & management team of the Abaco Club on Winding Bay MADE our stay, and this was during their Member/Guest Golf Tournament weekend. A special shout out to Greg(passionate of his resort, down to earth as they come, and went out of his way for me when he was extremely busy), Richard(couldn't ask for a nicer guy, and who literally ensured that our stay was one for the ages, thank you Richard), Kristi(wonderful & energetic, see the aforementioned comment) and Ruth(who is their concierge, titled accordingly, gave us her personal cell # if we couldn't reach her at the front desk). I can go on and on about their staff, and I apologize for not mentioning all by name, but you get the picture. The only reason I dread giving this review is that other travelers will find aout about it. Patrick & Nicoletta

Thank you for sharing such a wonderful review, Patrick and Nicoletta! I’m honored you chose to spend your anniversary with our Abaco Club family and thrilled that your visit left such a positive impression. In offering resort-style amenities without the resort-style crowds, our beach is usually quiet and uncluttered no matter the time of year, making it the perfect spot to spend a relaxing anniversary getaway. Our staff takes great pride in providing exceptional service to members and guests, and it is truly heartwarming to hear of the impact they had on your stay. On behalf of myself, Richard, Kristi, Ruth, and the rest of our family, thank you for joining us in paradise and sharing your kind words. -Greg Sherwood

I’m an Abaco resident and live nearby the ABACO Club at Winding Bay. My wife and I visit here to enjoy the clubhouse where they serve first rate meals in a wonderful surrounding. We were celebrating our 32 anniversary and arrived in time for a beautiful Bahamian spring sunset. The staff here are very friendly and on the ball. The food was wonderful and contrary to popular concerns it was not expensive even with drinks and desert the tab for the two of us was under $150. Remember you are 150 miles offshore in a remote part of the world where you can experience the best of beaches as well as a world class golf course. My problem is I don’t play golf. Well worth a visit.
