Every employee we encountered was wonderful. Overall I felt everything was overpriced for the quality. As an example my first drink from the beach tiki bar was a tiny plastic cup of premixed rum punch pored from a milk jug for 15.40. An overcooked ribeye at the bistro restaurant was 78.00 and included no sides (they were extra) not even bread. Our room was ok. Nothing special but with the king terrace room we could walk right out the patio door to the beach which was wonderful. We found only one chair on the whole beach that wasn’t missing webbing. Such an easy fix that did not seem to be a priority but just in the week we were there I heard multiple guests complaining about the lack of beach chairs Employees all wonderful. Special thanks to Carolyn that took us down the road to play tennis in her own car due to hotel advertising they had tennis courts that had not been repaired after the hurricane. I will say that the management definitely made that up to us which we appreciated…
Not many people get to experience 30 days in Jan/Feb in the Bahamas. We were interested to see how Marsh Harbour has rebuilt since Hurricane Dorian in 2019 and we were happily surprised. The hotel is rebuilt, the pools are beautiful and the restaurants are wonderful (see my reviews on Angler and Bistro). The staff is friendly and go out of their way to make our visit enjoyable. We stayed in the marina on our boat so I can’t comment on the room accommodations, but if they are as lovely as the rest of the development, you won’t be disappointed. This was a once-in/a-lifetime trip and it was wonderful.
I stayed two nights at Abaco Beach Resort with my friend as we were island hopping! Our goal was to eat, sleep and play. Our room was spacious, bed was comfy and the bathroom was dreamy. The mirror lit up, which I appreciate when getting ready. Our room had a beautiful and calming view of the marina and beach. The property and the beach had my activities from ping pong to paddle boards and everything in between for the active. The concierge also assisted us with ferry information and calling taxis. For dinner, we ate at the Bistro. The service was attentive and charismatic. The food was so delicious we dined there the next night too. I highly recommend the conch chowder. It’s very meaty! I’ll be dreaming about that soup until I return! Overall, I had a relaxing stay and I truly hope to come back soon.…
I got married here this weekend in January 2023! We had an absolute amazing time. Majority of the staff is absolutely amazing. I originally planned my wedding with Brent, who was super kid and helpful. Nicole was my go to for the week I was there and for wedding day. Nicole is a god sent angle and I highly recommend anyone to work with her. She did everything for me, was extremely accommodating and kind. Fixed any problem I faced as a timely manor. During the wedding, the chefs prepared our steaks perfectly. Randy, who was helping out bartending turned into a nanny and had the best time parting with my 2 year old niece. He was absolutely amazing. Shelly works in food and beverage and every morning greeted you by name and a big smile on her face. Rohand the director of food and beverage was super accommodating and extended our bar another hour! Overall I had a great wedding. The grounds are beautiful, the view is irresistible. The upgraded rooms are worth the price difference! We had some people stay in each room to compare. The pool bar is delicious food but does her pricey. We loved our stay and look forward to going back for an anniversary some day. …
Stayed here for 4 nights at a cost of $482.59 Inc taxes per night. The room had a view of the ocean, but the facilities & decor were poor & extremely dated. The entrance door to my room looked filthy on the exterior. Dirty marks all over it. The hairdryer was very old, rusty and felt like it was about to stop working at any minute. The iron was also useless and did not get hot enough even on highest temperature. The bathroom itself was terribly dated. The toilet moved every time I sat on it. Sewage was leaking out of sn overflowing drain near to the swimming pool by the main reception building. There was also a strong smell of toilets in and around the hotel including the reception and In various other locations. The beach was ok, but most of the sun loungers were damaged with slats missing so basically unusable as where you sit the slat or slats were completely gone. For the money we paid, there was not even a small bottle of complementary water in our room for our arrival which was pretty poor. The restaurant in the main reception was lacklustre and extremely expensive. No atmosphere whatsoever and bright lights. Luckily we were able to leave the hotel and eat in other restaurants up the road. Overall very disappointing and not a place I would choose to revisit through choice.…
We have recently returned from a 4 night stay. Managed to check in early which was a bonus room was a good size with a great ocean view. Bathroom was nice with a great shower. Bed was super comfy so had no issues with sleeping. The only thing that ruined our stay was the noise from the building works at there restaurant sitting byvthe pool - beach wasn't very relaxing when you can constantly here drilling noises etc. Also no beach bar or hotel bar so when needed refreshments had to walk to there marina restaurant. Main hotel restaurant only open Wednesday to Sunday. Overall good stay but not sure if would return
This is a great resort, with a marina, with just the right balance of relaxed and well-serviced. The staff were amazingly helpful and friendly and looked after us so we’ll all week. The food is great in the marina bar and restaurant, for breakfast, lunch & dinner. The hotel was comfortable, clean and well maintained. Our rooms were big and well looked after. There is a small but empty private beach and two small pools. And a great marina full of amazing yachts. We would definitely go back - we had a great time.
Stayed at this hotel in May 2022. They charged my credit card $1325.00 for a one night stay. This was not the amount quoted for the room. I highly recommend staying elsewhere, unless you want a big surprise when you get home. I do not recommend staying here, Big rip off!
Don’t bother going to Abaco beach club (boat harbor). I put on $1800 of fuel and they charged me $110 dockage fee because my kids got off the boat and walked into town. Also had a $350 lunch at the same time. Won’t ever go there again!!!!!!!!!!!!
I do not recommend this hotel. If your flight gets postponed or move to a different dates, the Hotel does not return your money back and they will charge you the complete night rate anyway. I even ask them for a credit and they denied it so, I gets to pay my whole rate without staying in the hotel.
