I do not recommend this hotel. If your flight gets postponed or move to a different dates, the Hotel does not return your money back and they will charge you the complete night rate anyway. I even ask them for a credit and they denied it so, I gets to pay my whole rate without staying in the hotel.
Our stay for four nights was perfect from check-in to check-out. The room was spotlessly clean and air-conditioned upon arrival. The entire staff is cheerful and helpful with any and all requests. Breakfast is served outside by the beach and has a menu with delightful choices. The pool is immaculate but a little chilly in March / April, like the ocean, just a 100 feet walk away. The dinner was absolutely superb as we dined here three nights. The Resort manager has snagged a first-class expertly trained chef who does memorable appetizers to main courses. Our server, Mr. Garnet, was spot on with every suggerstion from wines to desserts. He, and the entire dining staff, are truly a class act. Many thanks for the food and derives. We will be back. NB - As an excursion, we rented a cab ride from a hotel contact and toured the island including having lunch with our driver at colors. A remarkable experience.…
The renovated rooms are very nice, service was great, and the beach and restaurants were kept in good shape. Mo - the GM - did a great job ensuring all was running well. The convenience of having two restaurants on property was key at the end of long beach days
Beautiful location and exceptional service. This resort has amazing views from any room and all restaurants. The front desk and restaurant servers are amazing. They helped out with complicated transport bookings, provided local knowledge about things to do and people to meet. The Bistro dining in the main area of the resort is exceptional. I was disappointed in my room. Poor maintenance meant that I barely slept in a mouldy dark room. I managed a short snooze on the porch in the early morning. I recommend calling and discussing your room before booking to ensure you get a good room that has been aired out in advance of your checkin.
Fabulous customer service from being greeted on the dock to getting the laundry machines all operating within an hour of reporting broken machines. The food is wonderful at both restaurants and the pina coladas at the poolside bar are not to be missed. We spent several nights at the dock on our sailboat and enjoyed the beautiful setting, friendly staff, and amenities. Better water pressure and a pump-out service would give the resort a 5-star rating.
We got a slip here after coming down from Virginia in early Nov. It was early in the season, so there was plenty of space available. Since we were arriving after a 6-day passage, we had to change our arrival date a few times to accommodate a weather window. The staff was great, they never had an issue with us changing the arrival date, and they always responded to our email inquiries quickly. The new docks are very nice, and the facilities are great. It also simplified things to have covid testing on site. Thanks to the staff for a great welcome to Abacos! SV ChangeUp
Ran the boat from Green Turtle Cay to Abaco beach resort for lunch….great weather perfect ride….pulled in to grab lunch backed into the slip Bertram came to help us with the lines…..as he was about to tie us off he informed us that there’s a $90……docking fee….YES $90 I explained we just came for lunch we weren’t staying the night….he said yes, it’s $90 slip fee….when I was done laughing we purchased 3 bags of ice and left!!! Headed to Abaco Inn for an amazing lunch! Another solid management decision! Now we have to find somewhere else for all our summer guest to stay….ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS!!!
Staff was incredible!! The resort has done an excellent job getting back to full service since the hurricane. Room was comfortable. Having a Covid test center on property was a big plus. Reason i gave 4 out of 5 had to call several times to have room cleaned. Finally was cleaned late afternoon. Could have been short staffed but in the scheme of things really no biggie. Loved the pool bar and the beach area.
We have been going to Abaco Beach Resort for years. We used to stay on a boat in the marina, but in recent years, we have rented a two-bedroom unit, which is very comfortable and spacious. Our most recent trip, in June 2021, was our first return since Dorian struck the island, and we were heartbroken to see the devastation all over the island. The resort, however, was in great shape...kudos to the good people who rebuilt and got it back in working order. We go here expecting to have a very laid-back experience. We aren't looking for the lap of luxury when we are at Abaco Beach Resort...we are looking for relaxation in a beautiful setting with wonderful staff. You won't find friendlier staff anywhere. We tend to spend a few days out on a boat and a few days by the pool. When we are at the pool, we spend a lot of time at the bar...it's legendary with fabulous service from great bartenders. They make you feel like family. As for dinner, we love the hotel restaurants. We had some of our best meals ever at the bistro, and the restaurant down by the pool provides good meals as well. The beach is beautiful, and the hotel is well-maintained. We also spent a lot of evenings walking around the resort and marina after dinner...lots of fun. We love this place and hope to return soon.…
We came here for lunch, and to use the pool which used to be included, as we had been assured by staff when we called for a reservation. We spent $200 on a pretty mediocre meal, and were informed by an unpleasant old white dude that we could not use the uninhabited pool unless we were hotel guests. Staff and view were great. Crying 8 year old who wanted to use the pool was a bummer
