This little gem gave us a much needed respite during COVID. Rustic, charming and family run, GLEAMING clean we felt safe and confident with our choice. Firewood is reasonable at 10 a bag - but you may want to bring some hardwood from home. Small store on property if you forgot essentials (they sell the most amazing pies and ice cream). If you are missing anything from the kitchen just ask and they will supply. The property is beautiful with lovely vistas of the lake and gorgeous trails. Canoe/Boat rentals available and horse-riding nearby. Day trips to Parry Sound and Huntsville are under an hour away. Screaming Heads in Burks Falls is worth a visit for a nice hike and local artist sculptures. Restaurant is amazing and very strict with following COVID protocols. Their thanksgiving dinner was just like grandma - even better! Accommodated our gluten free friend on fish night with no issues. Fish fry is not to be missed or the the schnitzel or the wings. Did I mention the PIES? All delicious. Petting zoo was a hit and we made sure to take our vegetable scraps (carrots) to feed them. All very gentle and sweet. Cabin 8 (3bdrm) was perfect for our stay with our friends. We had access to the hottub next door but we didnt really use as it wasnt turning on (you had to time and sit when it cycled). DVD in TV didnt seem to work but we made do with the cable option - we weren't there for TV anyway. I recommend you bring some towels from home if you want a big fluffy towel for beach/showering - although the supplied towels are the thin motel style towels and do the job just fine. We also brought a small space heater for the living room/dining area as only the fireplace heated that space so it was useful. A very delightful stay and we will be back in 2021!

Me and my family have been coming here for 10 years! A couple years ago we bought a trailer because we love it so much! It’s the best place to bring ur family, loving and caring owners who always help with anything you just have to ask! I’ve read the very few bad reviews on here, and honestly, (I am a seasonal, so I have a trailer) the last bad review especially, In most cases the person is upset because they are in the wrong! (I myself personally see it first hand, they make bad reviews to try and hurt the business, but the knots family is willing to help with anything.) Heidi and pat are the most amazing and kind people. The campground has a bathhouse that is cleaned everyday! Always warm showers. There is beautiful scenery like the point! You will have to check it out! There’s a petting zoo for the kids, and even boats to rent for the day. And not to mention the best food I have ever had. The Swiss house restaurant is definitely worth a quick walk up when staying! 10/10 you can never find all of this in a campground. I would never stay at anywhere else

We arrived in the height of the Fall colours in October. We needed a wheelchair accessible cottage . Heidi was very helpful in making sure we could access the bathroom and bedroom with our wheelchair. We travel with our therapy dog Archie and made sure that he would be welcomed. We had a absolutely amazing view of the lake and trees. The resident chip monk kept Archie alert when he came to the window on the large and comfortable deck with BBQ and swinging sofa. Our room was comfortable and roomy. Dinner of schnizzel at their Swiss restaurant was excellent. A added bonus was the petting zoo with a donkey, miniature horse goats and rabbits. Our therapy dog Archie rubbed noses with the donkey, horse and one goat. Gentle beasts all. We had a very enjoyable stay and would recommend to everyone.

Ahmic Lake Resort is a beautiful place to stay if your looking for a stress relief from reality. We stayed in cabin 1 with a view of the lake. Sun rise and sunsets were beautiful with calm waters all across. The Swiss House Restaurant is amazing rustic feel and the ladies are awesome. Friendly atmosphere and you meet a lot of great people who come for the same reason. I recommend this resort too young and old who enjoy the camping scene, tent, trailer, or cabin you will love it.
