This motel we stayed at from 18th -22nd November and felt it needs a lot of maintenance. We were there for a bowls tournament. There were no smoke alarms in Unit two. The hot tap over the sink was held up with a block of wood and the cold tap in the bathroom was continuously running. The stove was very dirty on top and inside. The owners were overseas for 3 weeks and we felt sorry for the folk who were relieving there. The relievers were very helpful but we also had to pay fro our motel 6 days in advance which I thought very unusual. The lounge area was very clean and tidy, no motel book though. Beds were comfortable and the heat pump worked well.Gardens of roses were lovely but needed weeding. Otherwise a place to lay our head at night. It was great having the wifi as we could track results of our bowls etc.…

This a very dated establishment, and the fabric is pretty dilapidated. On the plus side the unit was enormous and the bed large and comfortable. But it was cold, with only an ancient portable electric fire which failed to conquer the chill, the shower output was patchy and slow, and the cost was way too high for what was on offer. The neighbours - alpacas watched with a mixture of curiosity and perhaps amusement as they saw us arrive, and then leave the following morning never to return....

While sitting on the toilet' the bathroom floor had hair. Tiny jug of milk for 2 ppl' enough for 3 cuppa's. I roll of toilet paper a day. We were not allowed more milk or toilet paper or fresh towels for the following day. Their English is very limited. Not sure if they understand' provisions of nz customer service. The kitchen was nice and big. Large bed was comfortable. Nice and warm. It is out dated. I will not return.

I'm giving a rating of 2 out 5 due to staff being friendly and the room was very clean with comfortable beds, both with electric blankets which counts for something. However we felt it was overpriced at $150 for one night for a very small and very basic unit for 3 people. Seemed there was no hot water left at 8.30 am, shower went freezing cold after being in there 2 minutes which was not nice! Our toilet also appeared to be in need of repair but instead had just been taped up? Could hear the tape lifting and feel it moving when using. I understand things break and may not have had the chance to be repaired yet but surely that could at least have been explained to us first?

Very basic, no frills accommodation. I’d say it’s more an $80 per night stay, not the exuberant $140!! The managers were friendly enough but motel was pretty sub-standard. The pool wasn’t in any condition for swimming which was a big let down for Miss 9yr old. The photos on the website do not replicate what this motel looks like now!! Not worth the money but acceptable rooms if you’re a little desperate.

Stayed here for a few days while visiting locals and it was great. Staff very friendly and local knowledge of the area was excellent. Rooms were serviced daily and nothing was a problem for them. Close to Rotorua and Taupo.

A quiet motel set back a couple blocks from the main highway just south of the town which is a far quieter option than accomodation on the main road. Lovely friendly hosts, very clean old school type motel whith everything we needed for overnight stay _ tarrif $100 per night. Would recommend 😊

My cousin and I stayed overnight here visiting relatives and we loved it. We stayed in a two bedroom unit that provided heaps of room for at least 5 people. Clean and comfortable. Wet and cold outside but warm and Cosy inside. The owner/manager helpful and her nephew was also nice. Tokoroa town Centre is approximately a 5 minute drive. We would stay there again.

We were able to secure a room late at night which was fabulous after a long drive. Apparently this is the only Motel in Tokoroa which is open 24 hours a day. Friendly staff. Spacious with a good shower & roomy kitchen. Good value. A short drive out of the main shopping centre. Would be happy to stay here again.
