The Kasbah was a part of our Morocco and Kenya adventure to celebrate my recent retirement. My husband and I stayed 2 nights in the Superior Suite #32 on the top floor which afforded a panoramic view of the Kasbah and its surroundings. We will remember forever the glow of the evening sunlight on our terrace taking us from one magic moment to another. You really own your experience. You can keep as busy or as relaxed as you wish. We had a short stay and wanted to soak in the ambiance: we did the complimentary Moroccan tea making tutorial, watched the movie Casablanca under the skies which was truly a treat, and indulged in elaborate meals. I highly recommend individual yogurt servings made 'in house' overnight, with freshly prepared, literally in front of your eyes, Moroccan Msemmen bread for breakfast. It's a place where you are pampered like royalty and you wistfully dream that this what retirement should be like! Alas! We are back home in Vancouver Canada and vowed to each other that we shall do it again! And at least for a few days to give it justice! Don't be put off by August high temperatures! With the pool, shady gardens and evening breeze to the rescue, you will want your stay to never end. We were leaving Kenya when we learnt about the devastating earthquake in Morocco. On our journey we witnessed how resilient and resourceful people of Morocco are. We believe that support of the hospitality industry in this country will play an integral part in its restoration.

Dear Lara, Thank you for taking the time to share your incredible experience at Kasbah Tamadot. I am thrilled to hear that your suite and its panoramic views added to the magic of your recent retirement celebration. It’s great to hear that you made the most of your stay, striking the perfect balance between relaxation and exploration, including tea making with Mohammed, which is often a favourite with our guests. I agree that this is a place where guests should feel truly pampered, and I’m so pleased that you felt this way throughout your stay. We appreciate your support during the challenging times Morocco faced with the earthquake. The resilience and resourcefulness of the Moroccan people are truly remarkable, and we believe in the importance of the hospitality industry in contributing to the country's restoration. Thank you again for choosing The Kasbah, and we eagerly look forward to the day when we can welcome you back to our little piece of paradise. We spend 5 days in Kasbah Tamadot at the beginning of August with the family. What a place to see and experience...the views are outstanding! Breakfast was our favorite meal of the day, a selection of local breads and pastries, fruits and fresh juices and an A La Carte menu to choose from. Also the mint and spices Tea with Mohamed was the highlight of the holiday, my 2 young daughters couldnt wait to sit in the "tea corner" enjoyining tea and listening to the birds coming by. We love the swimming pool and the library, also the gardens are stunning with all the fruit trees around.

Dear MiguelsT2323JF, Thank you so much for your review and, of course, the 5-star rating. I’m thrilled to hear how much you and your family enjoyed your recent stay with us. We couldn’t agree more, experiencing the magic of Kasbah Tamadot should be on everyone’s bucket list. The views from all around the kasbah of the Atlas Mountains and nearby valley are other-worldly; they still take my breath away every day. Our food is made with love by our on-site chefs and bakers using home-grown and locally sourced ingredients. This not only adds to the authenticity of the dishes, but I believe it also makes the food taste much better. I’m so pleased you enjoyed it. Tea making with Mohammed is such a special experience, and what a great memory for your daughters to take home. If you ever return to Morocco, we would love for you and your family to visit us again. Kind regards, David Redouane Assabbab General Manager reception@kasbahtamadot.virgin.com

Just wow! Everything at Kasbah Tamedot was just fabulous - from our gorgeous room with views of the mountains to the service and the location! Just exquisite. A few stand out moments for us were watching “Casablanca” under the stars with popcorn and also the visit with our guide Hassan to his traditional Berber home to drink mint tea with him and his father. Very special memories. The staff here are truly fantastic - all locals from nearby. From the staff at front desk, the gardeners, the housekeeping and the waiters - service is with a genuine smile. In particular we found Khalid to be super helpful and also loved hearing Ishmail’s story of learning English to come and work at the Kasbah. What a fine articulate engaging friendly man he is. Also Khadija serving the bread and Yusef the magician (which was a wonderful idea during dinner service) were both lovely smiley attentive members of the team. The live traditional music was very memorable and a lovely touch having the traditional babouches (slipper) to take home. Ah and also the Extra Virgin Limited Edition Olive Oil (very clever as this is one of Virgin boss Richard Branson’s Limited Edition hotels). The only downside was having to leave…….I wish we had stayed longer. Would highly recommend for some switch off time if visiting the mountains.

Our visit to Kasbah Tamadot had been on our "to go to list" for a long time. As regular and long visitors to Virgin Limited Edition's game lodge in South Africa (Ulusaba) we had promised ourselves a visit to their Moroccan retreat for many years. We finally went in June 2023 and it was simply superb - great "tent", great food, amazing staff and a management team lead by David that can only be classed as outstanding. No request was too difficult or too great - from fabulous trekking to challenging cycling (including bike hire). After six nights of bliss, Kasbah Tamadot has joined the list of places to "go to again and possibly again and again ..... ".

Absolutely stunning place, staff were all very friendly. Even though the weather was not very nice later in our visit there was still loads to do. Biggest jacuzzi I’ve ever seen and always the right temperature. Pool was a little cold but nice to jump in when you had been in the jacuzzi too long.

Spectacular stay and I would highly recommend 3 nights here. It was great to be able to get in and relax for the first day without being stressed about running around. We had a magnificent room overlooking the valley and the service was spectacular. The second day we went on a long hike that lasted from early in the morning until late in the afternoon and then the 3rd day was an easy morning hike and afternoon at the spa. It was the perfect place to unwind and get to know the high atlas mountains.

Wonderful 4 day stay at this stunning Kasbah hotel. Magical experience, truly exclusive but relaxed luxury - if you can afford it. Pro - beautiful location in the mountains easily reachable from airport and offering hiking options - inspiring historicKasbah setting filled with antiques - beautiful rooms esp the berber tents; (though they overdid it a bit with some decor and replicas in the gardens bordering on tacky) - well maintained grounds and pool and hammam and the garden is a real paradise - perfect service everyone is lovely and well trained. Our particular thanks go to Mr Ibrahim Immi for his charming hospitality in the restaurant - relaxed atmosphere helps you switch off; and nice little touches like movie night; free minibar and water at pool etc Con - ridiculously overpriced at rack rates; esp the tents; >5x other Kasbah hotels in the area. Seems to attract mainly fly in US and UK clientele - restaurant was OK but you find better in Marrakesh. The desserts and breakfast were quite good though. - currently constructing a big expansion. Not much noise where we stayed but hopefully wont change historic character too much Great place but at the price for most probably best for a one night splurge or just a lunch at fairly priced restaurant on the way back from Imli.
