Absolutely lovely and breathtaking chateau and I couldn't have found a better place for our 5 day, 4 night stay in Bordeaux. Comfortable, spacious and well-appointed room with views that I'll never forget. We loved being a bit outside of the city, yet close enough to get in and out very easily (with a car)... And just 20-30 minutes from... More

Chateau Grattequina was a wonderful oasis just a short drive or boat ride away from the heart of Bordeaux. They are also very close to the Medoc wine region. I highly recommend this Chateau if you want a beautiful quiet place to stay while exploring the wine regions of Bordeaux.

We had a wonderful room with a view over La Garonne. Breakfast on the terrace was superb and staff at all times friendly and helpful. We had a rental car, so Chateau was perfectly located for trips to Medoc wine region and also the wonderful city of Bordeaux.

The setting is; a lovely old chateau in the middle of green fields, surrounded by trees and the Garonne river in the backyard! Amazingly beautiful situation. The hotel is owned by a family, and that makes everything inside so very nice. They are there to make your stay a pleasure you will not forget. Friendly, interested and nothing of the... More

a perfect place to relax at the pool and explore nearby Bordeaux and the Chateaux in the wine areas. Don´t miss to ride the boat to downtown Bordeaux. Excellent breakfast. Charming hosts. Simply great.

An excellent place to stay if you want to visit Bordeaux, but stay out of the city centre. The setting is beautiful, in the countryside and on the banks of the river. It's worth treating yourself to a ride into Bordeaux on the hotel's motor boat. Our room, no.7, was huge with an equally large and luxurious bathroom, bathrobes and... More

Just returned from a 4 day trip to Bordeaux. Our stay at Chateau Grattequina was very relaxing. We had Garonne view rooms which were all large, twin aspect which included views of the river. The bathrooms were vast! The hotel was a 15 minute ride from the airport (approx cost 50 Euros) and you will need a car to visit... More

The house and grounds are stunning. The staff were charming and helpful. The room was delightful and spacious with great views of the river. The location is mostly peaceful and undisturbed barring only the odd plane flying over head or boat coming down the river. The only flaws with the place were the essentially cosmetic air conditioning and lack of... More

Beautiful chateau about 20mins drive from centre of Bordeaux. Our room was very spacious & clean. This place would be perfect if only it had a bar & restaurant. The lack of such facilities is a real drawback as you have a 20 min drive or costly taxi ride (approx 50 euros each way)to get an evening meal. We arrived... More

Lovely hotel with beautiful terraces, spacious rooms and good access to the wine routes of Bordeaux. The only drawback is the lack of restaurants close by. If you have a car it is only 4 to 10 km to several nice eateries. The breakfast is 12€ but it is very good and since there is nothing else nearby, recommended.
