I just returned from five nights at Salines Garden and it was exactly what I expected: a place to sleep on St. Barth for less than $150 a night. There are many people who have written reviews complaining of the attitude of the owner. While a bit serious, he was attentive to our needs and the place was clean and...

Salines Garden Cottages. Don’t tell anyone about this hidden paradise. > As veterans of St. Barth ( this was our third time on the island), this was truly our best stay. The beautiful deserted beaches are the same. > What made the difference? Salines Garden and its wonderful host, the truly amazing Jean-Philippe. Despite being a twenty-plus year resident of...

We recently returned and I believe the couple from North Carolina in the last post were the people that were there at the same time as us. I agree with his information regarding Salines Garden, so I will not repeat the same information. We were not provided with baby wipes but we did all joke about the toilet paper experience....

My wife and I just returned from six days at Salines Garden and got exactly what we expected, thanks to the reviews here--both positive and negative. Jean-Philippe seems to be the subject of most discussion so I'll start there. Okay, so he's not the friendliest fellow in the world (his wife is friendly) but neither am I so we got...

Since I used Tripadvisor's reviews to finalize my decision to book a cottage at Salines Garden for our trip this past May, I'd like to add another great review for Jean-Phillippe and Laurence for those who may be thinking about staying with them while in St. Barth. My husband and I really wanted to go to St. Barth for our...

This was our 2nd time in the last 3 years and a few things have changed. An audio/video room has been added for a stormy rainy night which you may encounter and the kitchens have been updated since our last stay. Jean Phillipe is still very much aloof and can defintely be hot and cold; however my vacation is not...

After reading numerous positive reviews, we chose to spend four nights at Salines Gardens. The rooms were as described, and the surroundings OK. It was basically a budget place to stay. The breakfast was just a baguette, coffee and croissants. The major disappointment came with the attitude displayed by the owner Jean Philippe. He picked us up as promised from...

Salines Garden is the best kept secret on St. Barthelemy. It is a wonderful, small, friendly hotel located near St. Jean and not far from the Saline beach. The rooms were air conditioned, spacious, clean and comfortable. There was breakfast each morning where I would talk with other guests and learn the hot spots, where to go and what to...

This property is tucked away on a hillside just minutes away from Salines Beach, the most beautiful beach on the entire island. We loved the ambiance of Salines Gardens....only 5 individual cottages, a community bar, pool, open breakfast nook and even a tv lounge. You'll absolutely need a car, but you're definitely close to neighboring towns St Jean (2 miles),...

My husband and I are Innkeepers and recently returned from a 1 week stay in St. Barth’s at Salines Garden Cottages. We found Jean-Philippe and Laurence, the owners, to be friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and received daily housekeeping services. The linens and towels were changed regularly. Our room had a comfortable king size bed and a...
