I love this place! The secret villa was generously spacious with two indoors separated by an outdoor area with the green tiled private pool. I happily spent my time reading at the beach and pool. I enjoyed reading at the library (reading room). It was cosy and welcoming. The staffs were great. A staff saw me placing my things in the library before heading somewhere. He went into the library and turned on the aircon. I was so glad when I was back in the library. It was a hot month. Staffs at reception, restaurant, pool and all other areas whom I encountered were friendly. I will return to this resort.

Without any shadow of a doubt, the best beach hotel I have ever stayed at. We stayed in their Writer room, which must be the most beautiful room I have ever stayed in. It is insanely big, with its own lounge, gym and incredible beach access. My adult sons stayed in their Page rooms, which are minimalist, fresh and cool. Chaweng has a lot of beach hotels, nothing compares to this. Just a note - the hotel is a very calm reprieve. The service was beautiful, the kindness of the staff so touching. They went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. Perhaps best illustrated by Dear who tool me around the island one early morning to help me find an open pharmacy. Phenomenal stay, they deserve 5 stars.

Chapter 3 This intimate leafy complex has been our go to whenever we are in Koh Samui. What draws us back is it's minimalistic design, clean lines with a hint of sophistication. The pavilion style buildings are set amongst the tree lined avenue that opens up to the striking red tiled swimming pool. Modernist sculptures are position around the property. Our room (addressed as Page 8) was a Smart Studio with it's futon style mattress and lofty ceilings. Above the bed a mood light box forms different colours to help balance "energy" lacking in a person's body :) The Page is where all meals are served behind huge rustic wooden blinds. The menu offers Thai & International cuisine. We spent the day chilling out beachside on large bean bags and listening to the Dj during Happy Hour as evening set. The staff here are warm, friendly and professional and ensured we were looked after throughout our stay. This property has not fallen victim to the rampant tacky commercialisation as others have. Not really a place for children mainly attracts adults.…

Really cool theme! I absolutely loved my stay here. I splurged and got one of the secret chapter rooms and it was totally worth it. Comfortable with tons of space. Thematic all the way through. Really nice pools and immediate access to a beautiful and immaculate beach. Staff went all out with service, providing snacks and showcasing that typical Thai-friendliness with all smiles. They made sure my shuttles arrived for my day trips and even provided a to-go breakfast when I checked out super early to leave for the airport. Couldn’t recommend this place highly enough!

Love this hotel. Super beach right in front of the hotel, they have stopped the jetskis from riding right out the front which is great. Busy beach but you can hideaway on your beanbags within the confines of the hotel. Lots of beach sellers but they do not hassle you. 2 for 1 coctails between 5-7 Super restaurant Breakfast is a la carte which we loved as you knew the food was cooked to order. Chewang has lost a lot of its charm with lots of empty shops but that is not the hotel's fault. If you are going to stay in the centre of Chewang this is the hotel to stay in. Rooms are modern and cool The pool is big, love the red tiles.

Enjoyed our stay and the initial Wow abates after some of the minor service chinks. It’s in a lovely part of the beach - you do have to walk out quite a distance to swim FYI. Check in was a little awkward but ultimately fine. In general I would say the service was aimed at pleasing (and the best service was in the restaurant) but they seemed understaffed and so very slow. But eager. I think there is just some language barriers that cause this not the attitude . We loved our time here but it was odd being told we couldn’t get new towels to our room etc. and then we could. So a few of those sorts of things let the service experience down. The intention and warmth is there, it’s just the execution is not very slick. It’s ina great place to walk to get cheap Massages and cheaper food. 2 pools and so the “kids” action and the those wanting peace could be broadly accommodated. Lovely beanbags and shade in the beach. On the room, we went the extra mile and got the pool Villa which I don’t recommend. The pool was freezing and too cold to swim in - even in the hottest parts of the day . And the room - probably because of the pool was constantly filled with mosquitoes despite the best endeavours of the hotel with sprays and plug ins etc. it looked beautiful but it is not a place you will want to hang out in. The bed however was amazing! Just it was very expensive to get the pool villa and then it was not of any utility - at least to us. All in all I would return. I have happy memories and mention these things as things to be aware of for the purposes of your expectations rather than hard core criticisms.…

Wow this was the best overall hotel experience that we have had (and we've stayed in some very lovely places!) The staff were incredible - friendly, welcoming, helpful without being pushy. The location feels quiet, secluded and protected even though it's in the middle of the main Chaweng 'strip'. Food was fantastic - delicious choices for breakfast every day and dinner, cocktails and snacks. The room was beautifully minimalist. Very efficient (and essential) air con. This felt like a very special experience, not just another hotel stay. All of the public areas were super-clean - pristine. There was improvement/building work going on in some areas but this was really quiet and unobtrusive. Guests have exclusive use of comfy beds around the pool and on the beach, with staff keeping a close watch on bags etc so it feels very safe to leave things whilst swimming or wandering along the beach. The library space is really unique and brilliant for a quiet/peaceful chill. We couldn't fault the hotel on anything and definitely hope to return.…

Wonderful and relaxing stay at Chapter 4, The Library in Chaweng. My husband and I spent an amazing chilled 9 days in a secret pool villa. The room (s) - were all spacious and we felt truly spoilt, there was an amazing 11 foot wide bed on a raised platform with mood lighting. The private pool was 8 metres long and so refreshing. The staff at the beach pool were lovely and attentive even handing out cold waters throughout the day, with a free juice and fruit stick around midday. The breakfast is a la carte and there is a really good choice, would personally recommend the crab Benedict and the salmon poppy seed bagel. Staff at the restaurant were so friendly and made sure we were looked after ( I have an allergy and they checked every order ). Lunch on the beach and by the pool, was a great choice of Thai tapas that went well with a bucket of beer. The beach is sandy, and you can walk straight in the water, and no rocks! The hotel is in the centre of Chaweng, so just a short walk to more restaurants, bars and shopping. This hotel was on our bucket list, after viewing many years ago, and now we cannot wait to return.…

The whole experience at the Library was beyond our expectations & we will visit again as soon on as we can. Such a relaxing stay at a smaller quieter resort in the heart of Chaweng. There was a lot of staff around and they were very attentive and it's a resort with plenty of open/empty spaces which gives each room/suite a bit of space. The staff kept good care of the pool area and the beach was also clean which is unlike of the other properties along Chaweng. The Library is a boutique style hotel and they also have a great restaurant with upmarket food and great quality dishes for breakfast. The other benefit is that I found the best coffee on Samui at the Library restaurant (The Page). After 4 nights of lounging around the pool, beach and my room with short ventures out to the Chaweng night market and Central Festival - I left totally relaxed and happy with my stay at the Library.
