With an enchanting beachfront location and a minimalist design, The Library on Chaweng Beach is the perfect place to curl up with a good book. True to its name, this unique conceptual hotel features an expansive library of over 1,400 books available for guests to borrow. This wealth of literature is complimented by the clean lines and bold design choices of its 46 luxury pool villas, suites and studios, each furnished with a reassuring assortment of premium amenities and entertainment technology. Furthermore, a world-renowned red swimming pool provides stark contrast to the alabaster-white buildings of the property. But the enduring respect for the surrounding landscape is unequivocal. From The Page restaurant holding fort on the beachfront, to the Drink Gallery and Tapas Bar fronting the street, The Library seals the chasm between nature and modern life.

We enjoyed our stay in the Bookmark suite. Minimalist in design, and bold on colors yet feeling warm and cosy. The room is abundantly kitted with oversized bed, black granite jacuzzi, Apple TV and more. Staff and service are all commendable. Excellent restaurant and room service.

As part of the global Design hotel portfolio, the Library indeed lives up to the hype Just 5 minutes from the airport, don’t be fooled by the small minimalist lobby. Once inside, you’ll be awed by the unique red pool and overall design. They also built the hotel around the existing flora and trees, impressive Rooms are called pages and villas are chapters. We stayed at the hidden pool villa acceessible through hidden doors. The villa is beyond W stylish throughout. The hilariously large bed is a sight to behold. Besides the typical his hers sinks, there’s the his hers showers. They did have a problem with the wifi which took several hours to resolve Just by chaweng beach , you can relax or do some activities The page restaurant is not as high quality as we’d like, but ok There’s suprisingly no spa in the hotel, they can call someone in to your villa, at an exorbitant price of course We’ve been to the W and Ritz samui recently but Libary may be worth a repeat visit 4.6/5

We stayed at the Library before on 3 occasions, and recently returned because of the new "Secret Pool Villa."We stayed in the "Editor", a 270 sqm. villla hidden behind a secret wall which ensured total privacy. The villa was decorated in Contemporary Chinese style which gives an ambience of comfort and luxury. The villa featured a pantry, dining area , sitting room, reading room, large bathroom and dressing area and a spacious bedroom with a 11-foot bed which made us feel like the set in the "Last Emperor", but tastefully designed. We loved the pool that you could actually swim in and the jacuzzi was also larger than most other villas that we stayed.Another plus side for staying at the Secret Pool Villa was the swimming pool reserved just for the pool villa guests. The vermillion color of the swimming pool was truly stunning. We did not want to leave this wonderful resort and had breakfast, lunch and dinner there which was truly satisfying.Another high point of our stay was" Tea by the Sea"which is complimentary for Secret Pool Villa guests. The management and staff was very attentive and courteous. The General Manager Ms.Chutima and our Villa Host.Ms.Monica took care of our every need which made our stay truly memorable. We make sure to return and already made reservation for next February.!

Hadn’t stayed yet but in view of the global pandemic we had to amend our booking and the sales department has been amazing in helping us go through this process with booking agents. We just wanted to praise their willingness and care and we are looking forward to visiting soon

The hotel has its very own style and the name library actually means sit back and relax ! The staff is wonderful and extremely helpful - never did my partner and I have a wish that was not fulfilled. The location of the hotel is directly on the beach. The beach beds are exclusively for guests and super comfortable! Drinks highly recommended !! The rooms are very clean, quiet and the beds are very comfortable. The bathrooms are spacious and of great quality. We first didn’t want to dine in the hotel to experience local food, but after our first dinner we didn’t go anywhere else anymore - food is sooo delicious and they serve good wines too. All in all we had an incredible stay and also recommend to have a look at the “chapters”, which are the suites. We didn’t know about them but asked if we could see them for our next stay and I have to say - woooow !! Sooo spacious, so luxurious and great design taste. Thank you very much, Clara and I had an amazing stay !!!
