With an enchanting beachfront location and a minimalist design, The Library on Chaweng Beach is the perfect place to curl up with a good book. True to its name, this unique conceptual hotel features an expansive library of over 1,400 books available for guests to borrow. This wealth of literature is complimented by the clean lines and bold design choices of its 46 luxury pool villas, suites and studios, each furnished with a reassuring assortment of premium amenities and entertainment technology. Furthermore, a world-renowned red swimming pool provides stark contrast to the alabaster-white buildings of the property. But the enduring respect for the surrounding landscape is unequivocal. From The Page restaurant holding fort on the beachfront, to the Drink Gallery and Tapas Bar fronting the street, The Library seals the chasm between nature and modern life.

Outstanding design hotel at the best section of the beach in Chaweng, one of the best luxury hotels on the island. It was our second stay and we booked one of the secrets chapters this time. The style is simple, kind of zen inspired and timeless but as it is applied throughout the hotel it gives an outstanding design concept. The chapter was spaciuos with a large dining area, two large bedrooms (with extremly wide beds), huge bathrooms, small fitness area and a central pool area. Breakfast on the beach or on the restaurant was very delicious, offering on the breakfast menu is wide and every item we ordered was delicious. The red pool area is an attraction in itself, the sunbeds are comfortable (although I'm not sure if there are enough when the hotel is full booked) and the beach in front is fine sand, sweeping view over the bay, clear water and shallow entry into the sea. Wood around the pool area has seen better times, here and there new planks have been applied, but it probably requires a bigger overwhole at some point. Only small critic points relate to pool/beach bar and the wine bar at entry, completely understandable they are closed given situation, but the wine bar at entry is used as a kind of storage area and looks abandoned/neglected and it's the first impression when coming to the hotel. Same goes for pool/beach bar, looks neglected. Given reputation and price tag of the hotel I would expect a bit more effort to cover/clean up. Staff was very friendly, helpful and attentive. We were offererd a late check out which we highly appreciated. Looking forward to our next stay.

We stayed in one of the 'secret chapter' villas/rooms, which has a private pool, living areas, a huge bathroom and massive bed. The bathroom has dual wardrobes, dual sinks and even dual showers, so no fighting over bathroom space. A large kitchenette and table is provided, with top quality tea/capsule coffee and even some free snacks. Big daybed, perfect for watching a movie or some Thai soap operas on TV. Everything in the villa is very clean. There's bluetooth speakers out at the pool area so you can listen to some tunes while you have a swim. The hotel grounds are also great, 2 nice size pools, enough loungers to sit by the beach. Cold water is brought to you. Plenty of trees around to keep the grounds cool. The restaurant is great, breakfast is made to order from a large menu. We also ate dinner one night which was outstanding. The location is great, just 5 minutes walk to Central mall and nightlife places if you want to, but also far enough from the nightlife to be peaceful. We would stay here again.

A high quality experience, this club offers class when compared to most clubs. Great interior setting, very good service and the varied drink options are at good prices. Entertainment provided by the bar staff and the music played is very good. Worth a look.

5 times that I come in Thailand, spending more than 100 nights in many hotels and this is the first time that I’m disappointed… Poor welcome, extra charge vs the booking rate, waisted time to talk with the manager for nothing (no solution suggested at all). Just know that if there is a mistake in terms of rate displaying on the booking site, it is your problem not their. Worst customer experience that I have ever seen in Thailand. There are better options in Chaweng ! Read the comments before booking.

We had 4 nights in the beautiful secret pool suite then we stayed in the writers suite. We never wanted to leave. The staff are exceptional, the food really great, breakfast a real treat ( we tried to eat out, but could not beat the Page restaurant food) We had a night of our own outdoor cinema in the Writers suite, which was amazing, in fact treat yourself to stay in this suite, you will feel like rockstars. The attention is in the detail and the care. The hotel has been through a lot the past 2 years, but they are so happy to have you there. Their care and attention goes beyond expectations. Thank you to the whole team for your care and happiness, we did not want to leave and had one of the most memorable and relaxing holidays we have ever experienced

We stayed in a Secret Pool Villa suite for 4 nights. The room was huge, really clean and an amazing place to retreat back to. The wider resort facilities were also incredibly well maintained and beautifully landscaped. The location of the hotel is pretty good. The immediate surrounds seems to have suffered a bit from Covid but it is easy to get a Taxi out front, and the lively part of Chaweng is only about a 10 minute walk down the road. The Page restaurant had amazing breakfasts and dinner (one of the best included breakfasts in Thailand, I would say!). The staff at the restaurant were always extremely attentive, welcoming and professional. The only downside to the hotel is that the “Content” team or guest services seemed to have no idea what they were doing. The check in/checkout process was very clunky, and any time we required their assistance for things like calling taxis or arranging motorbike hire they were much less helpful than other hotels we stayed in in Thailand. The reality is you won’t have to deal with the Content Team much, so don’t let this inhibit booking this hotel - it is great! I more so just wanted to provide the feedback for the hotel management.

It is the first time in many years as a „heavy traveler“ that i rate a hotel 5+. The library hotel is in Samui in the heart of the village, but very quiet, elegant and luxurious with clear architecture and color concepts. The owner together with a local architect from BKk designed the new area called „chapter“. The chapter rooms are like an atrium with 220qm (appr 2300 sqm) with a pool in the middle. We were just wowed by the space and luxury. Front desk and the entire staff are super friendly, the breakfast is a la carte with plenty of varieties from thai food to continental breakfast (omelette, boiled eggs, cerials etc). In the library hotel you feel immediately like at home, cozy and relaxing. For the restaurant and bars you walk 2-5 minutes. The 2 pools in red are also another eye catcher which is unique and sophisticated. Now heading back to BKK but we definitely will come back to this brilliant hotel. Many thanks for making our week unforgettable and pampered. For those tourists traveling with babies (i read some comments here) please chose another resort or big chain or family club hotel which is specialized for young families and their entertainment. Again, this hotel made our time lovely and exciting. With my kindest regards, Peter S. Philipp

Absolutely gob smaked. The secret one bedroom villa is a total dream, beautifully designed. The long red pool is gorgeous. Beach was beautiful and white sand. Service was outstanding! I can't fault anything at all. Loved the long lazy breakfasts, perfect coffees and generally stunning setting. Can't wait to visit again.

Clean, peaceful, pure class from the minute you check in until the minute you leave. The rooms are outstanding. The only issue we had was the colourful wall light , however beautiful it is, had a mind of its own and kept coming on throughout the night.

We enjoyed our 8 night stay here over the New Year period. I completely agree with the other reviewers that the staff here are absolutely wonderful and really looked after us. The other thing that we thought was really good was the food - the selection at breakfast is wonderful - the omelettes and the coconut overnight oats were winners! The design of the hotel is quite unique and very minimal. I echo the last reviewers comments about the beds being "up a big step" as I got up in the night for the bathroom and fell off it! - just be careful and remember that it is there! My only other criticism is that the hotel is looking quite tired in places - they need to do some maintenance soon on many aspects of the building in my opinion. The location - right on the beach is fabulous and can't be faulted. I would suggest that they clean the beach a bit more often though. All in all - pretty good......but I'm not sure that the hotel is 5 star......apart from the service.
