Loved arriving here after a difficult & delayed flight from Singapore. After checking in which was smooth we still had time for breakfast. We were greeted by the lovely Mai who has the most beautiful smile. She is very friendly and made us feel welcome. Mai explained the breakfast & showed us to our table. Breakfast is plentiful with something for everyone. Fruit, salads, muffins, varieties of bread, juice, water, milk, coffee, tea, hot food, cereal , pancakes, and an egg station. Oh and a different iced tea every day. Our room was a beach side room and very spacious. The bed was king size, extremely comfortable and lovely pillows. The bathroom was a generous size also. The beachside pool is lovely. It could be improved with some more umbrellas and better pool chairs. If you want a pool lounge with an umbrella claim it early as they are taken quite early. Even when people leave the area they leave their items there. The resort is right on the beach so if you want to walk on the beach, eat at other cafes, restaurants etc in the beach you are subject to the tides. Sometimes you have to walk through the water to get to them which is fine. The hotel has a complimentary bus to go into Chaweng town but you need to make your own way back. It’s about a 20 minute walk. There is a money changer not far from the resort, a chemist and a mini mart. Beach hawkers carry their wares along the beach to sell to you. We found the resort extremely relaxing and had a fantastic time. I’d particularly like to thank Mai for always being helpful, friendly and smiling.

Family of 5 we visited Ko samui for our 3 days visit during our Thailand holiday. While we were at Phuket we made our plan for Ko samui as this island looks amazing. We took the flight Phuket to Ko Samui which was 50 minute flight on the small plane operated by Bangkok airways. We took taxi from airport to hotel which was short drive. Novotel is resort type hotel with big area. We got our room on the garden view cross the street. As room beach view are lot more expensive. It was much quite room on the forth floor two room each other. This good right next to the Chaweng beach less cowered then center area. Center area in walking distance but it easy to find the taxi to go anywhere. Hotel has very good clean room. Breakfast is average with limited choices but far too crowed next to pool. Mid day pool is good for the kids. Staff of the hotel are very friendly and helpfully. Quite few restaurants and shops are close by. In my opinion room are better in cross the street rather then in main building if you like to have good sleep. Overhaul good choice hotel for Ko Samui good value of money. Highly recommended. Thank you for great hospitality!

We were fortunate to have the most amazing and memorable holiday and Koh Samui experience while staying at The Novotel earlier this month (March 2020) I honestly cannot identify a fault. We had two rooms on the Beach side. The hotel is split in two by road. Both sides are good and have their own pool. Very roomy accomodation which is serviced daily. There are a few stairs to consider in this hotel but looking at this positively, with lots of lazing around, it’s a good opportunity to get some steps in to earn those happy hour cocktails and fish cakes! A free courtesy shuttle is available 3 times a day into town but you must make your own way back. We ate dinner in the restaurant a few times and the food was lovely. The breakfast is amazing. Plenty of choice and variety. There’s something for everyone. Tee, the food and beverage manager introduced himself to us one morning. He’s doing a great job there. His staff are terrific. We met many of the staff but unfortunately after all those refreshing frozen Margaritas I can’t remember all their names. Special mention and sincere thanks to Meaw, Fon and Phee. These ladies made us feel SO welcome EVERYDAY with their warm and friendly hospitality and ALWAYS with a smile. All the staff were incredible, very obliging and courteous. They were fun too but always professional. Full credit to Management and to your team Tee. We hope to visit again. It’s 10/10! from us.

My friend and I stayed here for the week. First a downside. I would not recommend this hotel for anyone who is slightly infirm; breakfast is served at the lowest level of the hotel and there are quite a few steep steps to negotiate although rooms ARE available at that level. All the rest is positive: rooms are very large as are the "wet room" shower/ bathroom - my room could EASILY have accommodated five people. Rooms were cleaned every day and were spotless. Breakfast was buffet and excellent. Hotel is on two levels both sides of the road. When we were in residence we had the top swimming pool virtually to ourselves nearly every day. But the main selling point of this lovely hotel were the staff: from the friendly. funny and informative Canadian head of customer services Rick Cousins, the helpful and courteous staff on reception to the security patrolmen who shepherded us across the road, I have NEVER encountered in all my travels, more pleasant and genuine people. If you are staying at Koh Sumoi at Chaweng Beach I highly recommend this hotel.
