My brother and I traveled to Thailand for a diving trip and we stopped here for a couple of days as a place of transit. It's perfect for a short trip, located centrally in Chaweng, right on the beach. You can decide to walk along the street for good food, live music, shopping, etc. etc. or otherwise, walk along the beach over to places with a vibrant night life (check out the pyrotechnics at Ark bar), everything is close by. The rooms are very sweet and comfortable and the restaurant is a very nice place to stare at the sea and contemplate. The people here are very polite and accommodating as well. I would recommend this place if staying Koh Samui is a stop over to one of the smaller islands. It's an hour's drive away to the jetty, if you need to take a ferry, so wake up early, the boats are mostly on schedule, unless cancelled.

I have stayed here 3 times. Everytime I go to book something else, I always end up coming back to this resort due it’s central location on Chaweng Beach. It is quiet, the beach is clean with plenty of sand to spread out so guests aren’t “on each other”. Staff will move the umbrellas and beach beds for you, and soon learn where you like to sit and set you up for the day, having clean towels awaiting you. The day beds are getting old and I would like to see these updated, but I understand they have been hit hard with covid and lost a lot of tourists dollars so it may not be in the budget. They have comfortable bean bags on the beach which I personally loved! Can’t fault the staff, they will do anything you request, Tan remembers all past guests and recognised us from years ago! . The resort is immaculately clean. Beds are very firm but I have been to Thailand 10 times and I find this is generally just standard, no matter whether you stay in 3 star or 5 star. Bathrooms are brand new, they are small but the room itself is spacious enough for 2 large suitcases and a chair etc. The breakfast was a little underwhelming. The past 2 stays prior to covid the breakfast selection was amazing and beautiful, it has scaled back considerably but again I think sadly this is due to covid, possibly less $ and maybe forgetting what tourists want after being closed down for a period of time during the pandemic. Overall, I can’t fault the resort though and I hope I will be back as it really is the best location on the beach

What a great start to 2023 staying at Baan Samui Resort Koh Samui. The hotel has wonderful friendly welcome awaiting each guest from the wonderful staff who treat you with respect professionalism found in 5 star hotels . The resort had a complete renovation during the pandemic period so each room feels completely new fresh and very good quality quality of fixtures and fittings . With very good Aircon wonderfully comfortable beds my stay was exceptional. What better way to start the day than have a wonderful breakfast overlooking the beach. Baan Samui has a wonderful pool area with the option to take a dip in the ocean just metres away your spoilt for choice. The location of the resort is excellent with local shops and bars nearby or head to Samui central mall just 5 mins walk away . A stay at Baan Samui Resort is highly recommend with the ever so helpful staff I give this a 5 star rating that's why people I met keep on returning year after year . Value for money in this highly competitive area of Koh Samui definitely coming back to stay on my next visit to Koh Samui.

My wife and I stayed at the Baan Samui for a week after travelling around Thailand visiting other places. We really enjoyed our stay, the room was large, had a balcony overlooking garden, pool and beach. The bed was comfortable and plenty of toiletries provided each day. The housekeeping staff were lovely and topped up the tea coffee and water each day. A small mini bar is provided, that we used for our water as well. Each room has slippers and flip flops and umbrellas, that we thought was a nice touch especially when we had a heavy rainfall storm one night, which allowed still to go out for dinner The pool and bar staff keep the beach and pool clean and tidy and get to know what different guests needs are and are ready to help out. We had only opted for bed and breakfast as the Baan Samui is ideally situated between the beach on the Chaweng beach road next to the Tropical Murphy's Irish bar. On the main beach road there are lots of restaurants to suit all tastes. Breakfast was a buffet style and plenty of choices and a chef will cook eggs to how you like them. The restaurant staff are great always smiling and Tan is always near to chat to everyone and provide tea and coffee or sort anything else that you may need. As we were leaving the hotel before breakfast started the hotel provided a packed breakfast for us to eat at the airport. A lovely stay and we would defiantly go back after such a positive stay..

I thought a lot before writing this review but I decided to do it as it's better to warn people who are planning or have already decided about staying in this resort.
Our experience was extremely disappointing right from the beginning. Firstly, the breakfast was a huge let down and food was always a shortage no matter whatever time you went for breakfast. The food was less, never refilled unless told and that too met with a rude response as if they were doing a favor by serving us breakfast. The boy and girl at the egg counter were always very disappointed whenever you asked them to prepare anything reason might be they were instructed to serve everything less. Fruits were a huge let down too with only very small bananas being served.
And we did a huge mistake by booking this resort for 7 nights. The rooms are old, bathrooms had water logging issues in the bathtub. No handwash or soap was provided, room had insects climbing up. Swimming pool was very small. The entry to the resort itself was dark and a disappointment.
Overall, very bad stay with rude staff, breakfast and rooms huge let down. Please avoid this place at any cost

We have recently visited our favorite resort on Chaweng beach, Baan Samui resort. As usual we had a fabulous time. This resort is spotlessy clean. Everyone is friendly and makes you feel welcome. We stayed in the Junior suite room on the top floor it is the best room and very private. I must add that we stayed in a superior room first as our room was unavailable at first and it was just as nice. The rooms are stocked with tea, coffee, sugar and milk and there is water to drink. The TV channels are fabulous and there is Netflix available, my husband enjoyed that. This resort is right on the beach and comfortable loungers are available for your use. There is also a wonderful swimming pool which is pristine. The Buffett breakfast is definitely outstanding with all kinds of foods available. Here I have to highlight a staff member called Tun. She is so caring and her attention to detail is wonderful. She made us feel welcome and happy every single day. She definitely knows how to make the guests happy.

This hotel is fabulous, it is situated on the Main Street in Chaweng Beach however it is very quiet here. When we arrived at the airport Suwannee arranged for us to be picked up at the airport for a very reasonable price.
Check in was quick and efficient our room was located on the ground floor. We had our own private seating area outside. Room was spotless and cleaned every day.
Pool was lovely plenty of Sun chairs to be had. We had breakfast every morning, staff very friendly. Plenty of fruit, salad items, pastries, rice options and eggs cooked to your liking.
Hotel is situated right on the beach great location. We will definitely return.

From your check in at Reception until your sad departure, this Resort lead most capably by General Manager Suwannee, offers credible high Customer Service, the Staff have the sole ambition to make your holiday one to remember. Breakfast served with an incredible diverse range of options. Meals all prepared under the watchful eye of Master Chef Wee, can be enjoyed either beach side for lunch or dinner served at either on the beach or in the nearby Restaurant.
I have enjoyed the hospitality of Baan Samui many times, over many years and look forward to going again soon.

We are currently at the resort on a 13 day stay.This is our 6th visit to this resort and it is so good to be back after a couple of years.The resort has had a great renovation including new bathrooms and HD TV that has Netflix and Aisplay.The pool is always pristine clean and has new decking with plenty of sunbeds.There are new pathways and beautiful gardens. The breakfast is great and is in the Moon dance restuarant overlooking the white sand of the beach and blue waters of the gulf of Thailand.The food and service at the restuarant is fantastic and dining on the beach is special.The rooms are great with all the amenties you need including comfortable bed and pillows and blackout curtains .The air-con works great and is also quiet. Plenty of hot water and clean towels.The daily housekeeping is very good with 2 complementry bottles of water every day. The location of the resort is in the best part of Chewang beach .The beach is very clean and with no rocks.Ther are plenty of sun lounges and the bean bags are comfy and a great inclusion. It is only a couple of minutes to walk to the Central Shopping Centre .The best part about the Baan Samui is the friendly staff and quality service. They are such beautiful people and always smiling.Tan and Soe are amazing who make you feel like part of the family as well as the others including Titt, Mean,Som,May and Tar. Also Arty who cooks the best eggs of your choice at breakfast I highly reccomend this resort.

Thanks to all of the staff. It was a gorgeous stay.
The room was very nice and very clean. The matresses have good sleep quality. Airconditioning is very good. The minibar has very reasonable prices. The service of the staff is 5 star worth, simply incredible. At breakfast we loved to be welcomed by (Mrs)Tan. She is such a lovely and friendly person.
The hotel is placed on the best part of the beach. There are some vendors on the beach, you HAVE to buy mango, pineapples and even some grilled meat. I guess you missed something out if you did not!
The massages offered near the pool are excellent.
Our son had an accident at the pool and a lot of staff members came running to help.
I would recommend this hotel to everyone.
