I stay on new year night, there is aware some night for me. Best location and traditional room style. room was nice clean and quiet place. Very helpful staff with big smile. There is small gulf car are always available who still on hill side. But when the rain they used 4 wheel car to climb up. The staff informed me that gulf car can’t run on raining. Only by 4 wheel car. Delay a bit to pick up me. But reasonable and not always raining. Over all, the best choice to stay of the new year for me.

We choose to stay here as it was a perfect location to travel around the island to explore and to do activities before handing to the intercontinental, first impression on arrival was promising it's a shame it didnt last, we arrived early so we fully understood we couldn't check in. We went out for the day arrived back the assistant operation manager kindly offered us a comp upgrade due to this being our honeymoon but we still was unable to check in. He then explained the pool was green and he was preparing another room for us again not a big issue. We finally managed to check into a pool Villa, very nice villa with the necessary amenities air con was a little dodgy and quite an old unit but we managed just fine. No iron or ironing board present in room which for me is frustrating so I asked for one which eventually came dirty ironing board and the iron stain my trousers I took them to Reception along with the faulty iron the staff member basically blamed me saying the heat was too high, I think not! After much deliberation they agreed to wash and return and replace the iron. Breakfast wasn't anything to write home about, breakfast staff was very polite and definitely an asset to the hotel. The 2nd night my wife decided to take a swim in the pool, no pool lighting she said there was a strong detergent smell so then decided to take a bath of course she used bubbles when she finished and the bubbles had disbursed she noticed the water was very dark. So I ran another without bath products and the was was dark and contaminated between the bath and the pool when my wife awoke she was red raw from head to toe I took her straight to the hospital where they proscribed her medication. The next day we went for breakfast after eating we checked out the hotel and ground the pools are filthy and and not fit for human use I am so bitterly disappointed by our experience I really could go on and on. Only saving grace was the staff especially the young gentleman who ferried us up and down the steep hill and the young lady on checkout. I would never stay at this hotel again not unless it had a massive management overhaul starting at the very top as this hotel could be someone special.

Hotel isn't a bad location. It s comfortable opposite a few motorcycle rental. But the hotel service is terrible. Not cleaning if you don't ask if they re cleaning, they don't do anything waving, rubbish doesn t take, towels don't change. We asked for a change of towels, we got them, but the new ones didn't, so they had to ask again, only brought 2 Grand. Resepshin trueth is taking over one time. Shuttle has to wait a long time. The pool's not clean. They try to serve the Chinese first, several times arguing with the staff on this subject. Breakfast is boring. In general, there's a hotel 5 for the sight and location, 2 for everything else.

This review comes 9 months after our visit. It’s taken me this long to actually realise that they deserve a honest, rubbish review to be honest! We stayed there during a tropical storm Pabuk, not knowing whether this would develop into a cyclone. We were terrified. Obviously, I now the hotel are not in control of the weather, but they are in control of their staff and attitude. We had asked at reception whether it was safe to stay on the island and we were advised that it was. The next day, I saw lots of people at reception with luggage. I had an uneasy feeling about it, so I asked reception again, “are people leaving, are people checking out?” I was told by the lady on reception “no people are checking in!” This reassured me that other people would be in our resort and stupidly reassured me that it would be safe to stay. I should never have trusted the hotel but why wouldn’t I?! However, that night the weather got really bad. The boats and flights to and from the island had all been cancelled. We went down to reception on the night in tears and the man on reception admitted that they were told they had to LIE to guests to keep them in the resort and that earlier that day the people were CHECKING OUT! ON THE LAST BOAT OUT OF KOH SAMUI! I was shocked to the core. We were now trapped on the island to face the storms mercy. We actually checked out after the storm was over as I couldn’t face staying there another week and our room was INFESTED WITH BUGS. We were given a refund for the 2nd week but not the first. Overall, the hotels actions were disgusting and dishonest. We contacted booking.com who we made the booking with and the hotel won’t offer any compensation for the days we endured on the island; stuck there due to their lies, when we could have got off the island and tried to enjoy ourselves. I have never been so frightened in all my life and it was totally avoidable if the hotel had been honest!!!!!!!
