The Sarann, Koh Samui is a sublime blend of luxury and nature where is located on the tip of the beautiful and serene Chaweng Noi Beach, just 20 minutes from Samui Int'l Airport. The short drive from the airport is a dazzling introduction to the eclectic spirit of Koh Samui, winding through small villages and passing through a lively emergent quarter, before arriving at the resort's scenic surroundings of a lush tropical forest backdrop.

Reviews Summary
This summary was created by AI, based on recent reviews.
Powered by AI
The Sarann is celebrated for its serene location and value, offering guests spacious accommodations and inclusive packages, despite some dining limitations. Staff, particularly Mr. Joe, are frequently commended for their exceptional service, though occasional inconsistencies arise. While the tranquil setting and amenities like the infinity pool are highlights, guests have called out the need for upkeep in some areas. The atmosphere is generally peaceful, marred only by repetitive music for some. Cleanliness is a strong suit, yet there's room for improvement, and opinions on rooms vary, with some citing a need for modernization and better views.

The rooms are quiet, comfortable, and the staff are friendly, helpful and willing to provide assistance to customers. Also not far from tourist attractions. Can be a good option for travelling to Koh Samui. If I have a chance to go again I will choose The Sarann first.

We had a lovely peaceful and very relaxing stay at the Sarann hotel. Far enough away from the centre. But only a short tuk tun ride away. The room was very spacious with a courtyard and screened off with a large jacuzzi bath. The beach was lovely only a few steps away and very quiet. A big Thankyou to all the amazing staff who were extremely friendly and helpful. An extra special Thankyou to Mr Joe in the restaurant for taking good care of us and making us laugh .You were amazing and we miss your rendition of Walk On.

Just finished 2 weeks at the Sarann. 2 couples and we stayed in beachfront pool bungalows and can honestly say we absolutely loved it . Read reviews before we went about it being a bit tired and needs some refurb and so glad we didn’t let that put us off going. Rooms were huge and views from them were amazing. Opening blinds in morning and looking over ocean while still in bed. Ate in restaurant four nights and food was delicious every night. Breakfast was complimentary and was so much more than expected. Good choice and kept us going until evening. People said about no beach but all you had to do was walk down steps to side of hotel and you were on beautiful uncrowded beach . Lastly staff were amazing, so friendly and helpful. Big mention to Mr Joe. Sorted us out with anything we needed , taxis, tuk tuks and local info and all done with a smile. So thank you Sarann for giving us so many special memories and will have no hesitation visiting your beautiful hotel again when we come back to Koh Samui.

Stayed there from 23/12/23 to 2/1/24. The staff were super helpful especially Mr. Joe... Loved his daily bro handshakes Wish I was back there!! Recommend hiring mopeds to get around as the Sarann is on the south end of Chaweng. There's a cute little black cat floating around that we named Berry. Please feed her if your staying in villa 210

We had a pool villa with a great view of the bay. The location was excellent for travelling around. The food and Mr Joe in particular was outstanding. All staff could not be more helpful with any request. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Would highly recommend, spa is a great addition. Definitely stay here again

Just finished our 6 night stay and overall a 5 out of 5. Everything is as we expected for our holiday and we WILL be coming back in the future. Yeah, sure, it's not brand new and could do with some TLC, but it more than stood up to what we were looking for. Mr Joe and the entire Staff were fantastic to deal with. Nothing was a problem and the delivered 100 %. Outgoing personalities and always ready to accommodate your requests ( Australian businesses could take a leaf out of these guys books). For the price ($675 AD) for 6 nights, all meals, alcoholic beverage with lunch & dinner, airport transfers, plus a quiet location, try finding that in Australia!!! No parties, No idiots, just a relaxing time. Would I recommend these guys? Hell yeah! Thankyou for an amazing stay Joe and co.

Starting with the positives, the location, view and service were impeccable. Loved sitting at the cafe restaurant daily just taking in the amazing view of the bay. Staff are super friendly and smiling and made the 5-day stay so nice. Special mention to the chef, Mint & Joe. On the flipside the rooms need upgrading... We didn't want to sit on the chair coz it was sunken n upholstery was stained. The flush system in the toilet is not good and we were told to throw our soiled tissues into the bin! Yukk! The shower is exposed as it's an open bathroom concept. The TV is small n old. And the semi-covered jacuzzi in the room just did not look appealing. Maybe the room with a pool would have been better. I wonder. We would only go back IF/WHEN they have upgraded the rooms. As vegetarians, the chef was very accommodating so we managed good meals here, but breakfast was sad. Should provide better bread assortment and hot dishes.

This an old hotel, call it resort if you will. Many of the facilities are decrepit and in urgent need of repairs. Old wooden structures are in bad shape, the wooden Venetian Blinds in the Villas have lost the coating and the mechanism does not work. You cannot open the venetian blinds. The air-condition system needs to be urgently overhauled. From our Villa we could see the ocean and we had our own swimming pool, however the swimming pool area is open and people walk around there. The hotel is not near the beach and is in a rocky part of the "beach". The very small gymnasium is in a poor state with some of the equipment either broken down or not working. The technician could not fix the equipment. The locks on the Villa Door are also in need of replacement, as you cannot open or close the door properly at times. Apart from the hotel itself, there is nothing around the area. You need a taxi or a car to get around. Interestingly, we were not supposed to throw the toilet paper in the bowl but instead discard it in the supplied bucket, rather disgusting I have to say, especially as a smelly sewer was in the middle of the walking path to the villa. Not all the rooms have ocean views. The "all inclusive" package is a disaster as there is a limited menu and you cannot change the dishes, which remained the same throughout our stay. Breakfast is also a joke as there is no variation and there is very limited choice in the "buffet", which remains the same throughout our stay. The "hot dishes" were often cold and you had a daily choice off such that you had to select on a piece of paper each day. Some days, if you are a vegetarian then bad luck. Will not recommend this hotel. Also do not come during October-November, there is incessant rain during these months.
