The Sarann, Koh Samui is a sublime blend of luxury and nature where is located on the tip of the beautiful and serene Chaweng Noi Beach, just 20 minutes from Samui Int'l Airport. The short drive from the airport is a dazzling introduction to the eclectic spirit of Koh Samui, winding through small villages and passing through a lively emergent quarter, before arriving at the resort's scenic surroundings of a lush tropical forest backdrop.

Best experience with our private pool room suite Room is so spacious and with your own infinity pool overlooking the ocean it is just magical and mystical Th staff are absolutely welcoming and go over and beyond to help you have the best stay Although communication isn’t the best they try to understand and accommodate your personal preferences Cannot name all the staff there but all of them from the main boss down to security guard just will do everything to make you happy A mention to Mr Joe, he always was there to help us enjoy our stay and even gave us a personal tour to our wonderful buffet seafood dinner, thanks Joe Also San and Joe for our special anniversary dinner which you designed so we could have it on the beach which almost didn’t happen because of the weather The girls in restaurant and the top chef making our meals All the staff went above and beyond to make our stay most memorable Thank you all for your welcoming arms We wish you all good health hope to see you all again Angela and Bill Mihalakis room 108

The Resort is small and intimate. Rooms are large. The pool and beach are spectacular. The most amazing Thai food in the Wild Ginger restaurant. Best Thai food I have had from many, many trips to Thailand. The staff are lovely and go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. Probably not a great resort for children, but perfect for those looking for a lovely relaxing, quiet holiday.

My mother and I stayed at the Sarann and had a wonderful experience! We were very apprehensive arriving, having read some of the terrible reviews posted by others in the last few years, but our stay was amazing! The infinity pool and view over Chaweng beach is spectacular, the jacuzzi suite Room was beautiful and bed incredibly comfy. The staff were extremely friendly, helpful and accommodating and went out of their way to help improve our stay. The airport round trip makes things simple. The location is quite far from other restaurants and shops, and so does require a taxi ride if you aren't hiring a vehicle, but this is not hard to do. We also booked many tours through the hotel e.g. Ang Thong, Koh Tao, elephant sanctuary, and these all pick up and drop off at the hotel, so the location was not an issue. The local Thai food at the restaurant is delicious, but the western food is average, however we had a package deal that included all daily meals, daily cocktails and daily massages - and for this, the value and quality is well worth it! Would highly recommend - thank you for a excellent experience.

This is our second time staying at The Saran, first time was 2018. We returned this year for honeymoon for 9 nights. Pros - Arrived to villa beautifully decorated for our honeymoon Pool villa beautiful views Private pool can be used 24hr Shower warm and water pressure good Friendly staff (especially Tom & Golf) Breakfast decent and made to order Housekeeping consistent Cons - Resort could do with a little tlc and renovation post pandemic Better linens for the price Restaurant too expensive Bug burners essentials if using pool area and cheap from 711 :) Overall, decent stay but maybe a little expensive for location and quality

We stayed in The Sarann, although the hotel room looks dated, but our stay was very good, the staff, the food, the cocktails all were very good for the price you pay. This hotel just opened for 2 months, it needs some time to recover from Covid downturn. We liked ever aspect of our stay. The staff genuinely interested to make sure stay as comfortable as possible. Definitely coming back.

After spending 5 nights at the fabulous W hotel we took a deal (we saw on an Australian site for luxury escapes) and booked 5 days. As our first holiday in over 2 years we were very excited for our beach side villa. However… when we arrived we were less than thrilled with the absolute broken down, mosquito ridden pool villa. We spent 35 mins in the room then immediately checked out and went back to the W hotel. To open the doors you needed the strength of 10 men but the huge gap between the door and wall did nothing to prevent mosquitoes infiltrating the room. The bed was completely unusable - it was something I’d expect at a hostel. The linen was cheap quality and the mattress old and terrible. There was some kind of random separated room which made no sense with a rusted fan. It’s still unclear why anyone would use this room. But I guess it’s the only place to sit beside the uncomfortable scary bed. The mini fridge had something split in it which was either blood or red cordial. The pool was dirty and full of leaves. The deck chairs were frightening and like something out of a horror movie. No one is laying on those to sun-bake. There was hardly any sun on the pool anyway and the grass was not mowed plus random dogs kept walking past. There was also a broken light out the front which we were scared of getting electrocuted by as it was so unsafe. This hotel is in the middle of nowhere - our taxi driver couldn’t even get up the driveway and gave up and dropped us in the street and scurried away. The tv is really small and I assume wouldn’t work. It does NOT look like the photos. Don’t be fooled, this is an unloved hotel, trying to sell a fake dream. It was unclean, tired and desperately in need of revamping. The view is nice but that’s about it. It’s not ok they are taking peoples money at a 4 star rate as it’s a 1-2 star at best in the current state. They refused to give our money back and it looks like this happens a lot at this hotel.

I rarely write reviews but this place needs a rethink. It's positioned basically on a dual carriageway with heavy traffic, no nearby amenities and no pavement/paths to walk anywhere on. The rooms on 200 level ,which we had , have no balcony, no view and really no window at all worth speaking of. It's spacious , largely comfortable but rather too much like a prison cell . There is no private beach in front of the hotel. There are tidal rocks presenting from the breakfast area a rather unpleasant view . There is a sandy beach a short walk away but with no sunbeds or amenities and it has a pretty bleak frontage. The jacuzzi on the decking , actually it was nt on the decking it was on some badly discoloured concrete was open to the sky (which was fine ) but the concrete area pooled with rainwater as it had no proper drainage which would explain the discolouring . With nowhere to walk to and not much going on at the hotel we resorted to the rather small TV in the room. It had cable but was unable to overcome buffering and constant glitching so that went off and I got my book out. Breakfast was no great shakes , not a la carte and not buffet . It reminded me of b and b s in England . Tick what you d like and they brought some to you . Adequate as best . We were booked for 6 nights , we stayed for one and rebooked at another hotel for the remaining 5 . A 3 star actually which had way better facilities than the sarann. One saving grace is the hospital opposite I guess . Before anyone assumes I m a poorly travelled moron moaning about stuff . I m actually semi retired , well travelled and just spent the last week in Bangkok and neighboring Islands where the hotels were absolutely superb . You can find better accommodation than this for the same money don't be taken in .

We spent six nights at The Sarann and were very happy with our room, service and the very friendly staff. Yes, the rooms may need a little touching up but the value for money invested was there. The air-conditioning is excellent and your room cools down so you can relax out of the heat. Coffee, tea and water supplied every day. We had a pool room with a magnificent view of the bay. It was heaven in the pool at night with a couple of drinks looking out over the bay. The fishing boats were a sight to see. Our booking was with all meals inclusive. The menu was a little restrictive but certainly value for money. The chefs were only too happy to assist with our orders. I considered them my friends by the time we left. One night I had a beef dish that was too spicy for my tender stomach. The next night the chef cooked me another dish free-of-charge to make up for that. Thank you chef! On our last night the female chef offered to cook us a special meal. Unfortunately we had made other plans to go into town. Thank you and I hope I conveyed our appreciation to you for your offer. So, thank you to everyone there for a fantastic experience.

The rooms of this small designer hotel are divided into 3 rows: the 100s, 200s and 300s. If you're at all senstive to road noise, avoid the 300s. They are squarely along the road and get the least breeze. 200s in the middle and 100s are best becasue they face the water. High celings and lots of natural wood. This is once luxury designer hotel that has devolved into something of a budget place, where rooms often start at $40/night. Rooms are large and comfortable, but not in perfect shape: water was hard to regulate, safe no longer shut, etc. However, if you want to enjoy the once grand rooms for a much lower price than they used to go for, this hotel is a good option. Breakfast decent. Very nice view and access to excellent beach. Hotel doesn't always get as much breeze as the rest of the beach, due to its location in a narrow corner. Pool very pretty. If you need a variety of restaurants, there many up the hill after the Sheraton. If you don't have transport, best perhaps to walk the beach and discreetly cut through the Sheraton, or another hotel. Hotel has a restaurant, but it's a bit pricier than it probably needs to be. In sum, this hotel has its charm but might not be for everyone. Best to book a night, then extend if happy - or drop in and negotiate a rate.
