We were looking for accommodation near my aging parents' bungalow, so that my family of five could spend time with them over Christmas. The Old Hall Hotel was just what we needed. Our rooms were at the back of the newer part of the hotel and were perfectly acceptable. One of the rooms booked, a twin room, was upgraded into...

We decided at short notice to go for a Sunday afternoon tea. Booked the Old Hall off a generic 'afternoon tea' website - nice and easy to book and reasonably priced in comparison to others. Frodsham village is quite a quaint little place, with thatched roof buildings and a good selection of pubs/restaurants and shops. We arrived to a place...

The standard of service at The Old Hall hotel is always top notch, and tonight was no exception. The food was of an excellent standard, the festive decorations were subtle and tastefully done, the public rooms were cosy and inviting. You really can't go wrong with this gem of a place.

The food is fantastic, the waiting staff are lovely and the open fires in the cosy lounge's enitice us back each year for a family get togother. Unfortunatly the poor rated is a credit to the none waiting staff and tiredness of the decor. Miserable barman and the night porter needs to read his job description - he as the...

Lovely hotel, great fire as you walk in. Nice rooms. Had an evening meal in the restaurant and drinks in the bar there, and breakfast the following morning and all good. There was a great market outside the hotel. Staff very friendly.

My wife and I have just returned from a two night stay in this hotel. We had room 6 with plenty of space and a lower lounge section. If you want a room with modern decorations and furniture, Straight walls and square doors perfectly fitted and no creeks in floorboards you best not book. But if you want to spend...

A welcoming fire greets every patron, who is then escorted to the lounge for drinks and menu choices. The timber beamed building is a joy throughout, with places for both large parties and intimate diners. The food was top class and my fish the freshest I have tasted in a long time. Prices were reasonable and great value for such...

Stayed two nights on recommendation of friends we were visiting nearby. Really pleased with the whole stay. Ate in the restaurant both nights and couldn't fault it for quality and value. Really friendly staff. Wouldn't hesitate to go again.
