Best place for tea in Bathurst. Enjoyed a pot of Assam and a fresh scone while browsing through the travel books on the shelf inside. Nice British feel to the place. Didn't spend the night, but the accommodation looked great.

Very nice place to stay in an historical English country house setting. The owners are very welcoming and friendly offering a warm cup of tea or coffee on arrival.I highly recommend this for a comfortable stay.More

The accommodation is set in an expansive, lush garden with a pool and plenty of areas to relax in peace. Bathurst is a great place to base yourself in the Eastern Cape. We are only two minutes’ walk from the centre of the village where there are craft shops, art galleries, restaurants, cafes and pubs, including South Africa’s oldest pub the Pig and Whistle.
