This hotel is not the Ritz, but the staff treats you as if you were at the Ritz. What a nice bunch of people! They answered our questions, chilled a bottle of wine for us, and even let us park in the garage in the courtyard as it was raining heavily. The town was charming for a walk and the... More

Good location, clean rooms, but dingy looking building and dreary atmosphere. We had trouble getting into the room and in and around the hotel, door onto, the street was locked after 11 pm and if we had not luckily met a guest, leaving to walk her dog we would not have been able to come in for the night. Reception attendant on... More

I found this hotel to be charmingly dated, and perfectly located in the heart of the town. Some visitors may be put off by the faded and slightly musty carpets in the hallway, and by the furniture that hasn't been replaced in 30 years. But I rather like those things. Our room was spotlessly clean. There is free wi-fi that... More

The hotel was cosy, clean, in the heart of the old city, walking distance to most attractions. Nicely decorated, loved the window that looked up the sky and rooftops, nice decoration, all comforts I needed were provided, really loved it!

I agree with all the previous comments. Good: Its in the centre of town, they have off site free parking, breakfast is available, should you wish to have it, the free wifi is good, the rooms are nice and clean. Could do better: doesn't have a lift, the corridors smell a bit damp, it's fairly basic. It is clearly stated... More

This small hotel has excellent rooms for a two star hotel. Stable and good quality wi-fi is awesome. The staff is very nice and helpfull. The environment is great as it is located inside the middle age city walls.

This was a marvellous base for visiting both Semur itself and many parts of Burgundy. The off-street parking was particularly welcome as I was driving a full car northwards; and the parking was secured at night. Access to the courtyard in a Stilo Estate was easy: any criticism about access being narrow is just unfair. The staff were friendly; the... More

Just steps away from the ancient town centre this hotel is somewhat tired and shabby - the very chilly grey rainy weather didn't help - the rooms were not heated despite the weather having been like this for several days. More positively, my room was clean and the bed comfortable, no frills at all. The breakfast very much portion controlled... More

An older style hotel a few steps away from central Semur, with a walled courtyards where one can park a car. Careful though, with tight turn we were glad we parked in parking lot 30 yards below. No elevators but a stairway up to "deuxieme etage"--third floor-- nice pictures on wall of stairwell, bedroom on top with large exposed beams... More

Well-located with convenient parking, but the hotel is shabby and worn, with a bad odor throughout. We were unable to find good restaurants, and the town was not very interesting. It's a convenient stop on the way from Burgundy to Paris. The hotel is probably OK for the cheap price, but don't expect anything charming or quant.
