On 7th. April, 2016, my colleague booked a twin room with sea view for the one night of Tuesday, 27th. September at a quoted price of £80.00. We arrived on the island by air from Glasgow, the main objective of our trip being to land on the world's only beach runway at Barra. During the course of our journey from...

Stayed here for two nights. Really shows signs of typical small privatly owed establishment. Staff great, very friendly and attentive, but building badly in need of some TLC. Shower main switch in bedroom and need to remember to switch it on or you will not have a shower. There is no lift, and stairs are a little tricky to navigate...

Stayed Wednesday, ferry problems meant another night was needed. Staff were excellent, made sure we didn't need to change rooms and gave us a reduced rate because of our very early departure. Bar staff and waiting staff all lovely. Had dinner two nights, food excellent and value for money. Nothing seemed a problem. Will be back.

However, my room (5) was above the kitchen and as a result whilst the kitchen was operating, the room was very noisy. The hallway was also in need of some love...

Thoroughly enjoyed our meal in the Craigard hotel. Lovely fresh, local produce cooked to perfection. Very popular place to eat. Very pleasant surrounding, lovely young staff and beautiful view. Looking forward to returning next year.

...then don't go to the Craigard - food overcooked, very basic and processed. Staff unapologetic and disinterested. Overall poor dining experience - only compensation was spectacular view across the bay.

Stayed here as part of our Islands tour. Lovely welcome from staff. Hotel was clean and tidy. Our room was pretty small but comfortable enough. Spent some time in the bar for drinks and food. Good atmosphere and food was decent. Disappointing that there is only a continental breakfast available if you are going for the ferry especially for the...

stayed here on final night of our trips round the Hebrides. Very disappointed, room 5 was very small, very tired, not as clean as I would expect for the price paid. The sink was next to my bed as the bathroom was too small. We were booked on the first ferry which is very early but known to the staff,...
