Mohua Motels are a great base from which to explore the Abel Tasmin National Park. The self catering apartments though functional in appearance from the outside are immaculate and extremely well thought out inside. The staff are all very helpful and knowledgable about the area and you can walk into town. The fish and chips at the Curry Leaf on...

Great place to stay! The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. The bathrooms are roomy and the towels are especially nice and fluffy. It is only a short walk to the shops and cafes. The owners are very friendly, helpful and knowledgable and always there to give you information on what to do, where to go and even booking tours...

Hi Susanne H, we too think it's "Always a good place to stay". The weather has been perfect for the many people visiting beautiful Golden Bay. The bird song this morning is crisp and clear, great to listen to while having an early morning coffee on the patios' at Mohua Motels. All the best for 2017. Kind regards Lenaire

A group of us stayed here at the end of Dec for 1 night. We received a friendly welcome, check in was a breeze and we were settled in our rooms in no time. Both rooms we cleaned to a high standard and presentation was great. Beds were super comfort and rooms were quiet and cool. We had a private...

We only stayed one night, but the room was very comfortable and all the amenities were provided, as well as free Wifi. We didn't have a car, and didn't realize quite how far attractions were from the town. Paul and his wife took very good care of us, however, even taking us to the springs, salmon farm, and dropping us...

These motels are right on the edge of Takaka but still within easy walking distance to the shopping area and restaurants. They are well appointed with lovely red towels in the bathroom. We had a one bedroom unit and did think it strange that the king size bed was in the lounge area rather than the bedroom. Although a bed...

Set in farmland just at the start of the towncentre the rooms are really well appointed and the owners very friendly and helpful. So glad they gave us some tips as to where to go and what to see which made the visit to Golden Bay a fantastic experience. Will definitely be back.

We had a very enjoyable stay at Mohua Motel, it was a well designed unit with very clean and comfortable bed and facilities. The hosts were friendly and helped us enjoy our stay.
