Just returned from a one week stay at Un Sueno. San Agustinillio is a fabulous small beach town. The main road runs right thru town, but they are just completing a "Main Street" project on it, complete with decorative road pavers, sidewalks, and improving the facades of the businesses. That said, there is still a lot of road noise from... More

We came from Oaxaca by Atlantida minibus, exhausted by the 6 hour trip through hundrets of curves. There wasn't any welcome at Un Sueño. The francophone owner Julien ran away and finally we got our room by Ifrain who seems to be responsible for everything. The stuff is not really friendly and the owner isn't interested in his guests. Only... More

Lovely cabanas right on the beach. San Agustinillo is a paradis. Though Julian and his team had made an misstake with the reservations which ended up that me and my family (including a six months old baby) had to move back and forward to other hotels during our stay. I have all respect that misstakes can be done, though we... More

I have no idea how this place is ranked #2 on Tripadvisor. While the owner Julien is a nice guy, the ratings should be based on the hotel itself, not the hospitality of the host. The beachfront cabanas are extremely outdated and are basically falling apart. The photos online must be from when they first opened because now the faucets... More

Will definitely keep returning! Great place, beautiful simple rooms right on the beach, great hosts, nice food! The area and ambiance is great, very peaceful, lovely hammocks on the beach, everything near by what more could you want! Julian and his team are always ready to help! In fact my luggage didn't arrive and Julian was nice enough to speak... More

Simple, clean, friendly, safe, and there's lots of good food nearby. There's not much to do but if you want to chill by the beach and take it easy - this is the spot. I suggest cabbing from the airport (Shouldn't be more than 500 peso). Once you're there you can pretty much walk anywhere or otherwise taxi. Be sure... More

From the owners Julian and Katie, their right hand man Efrain, attention to detail is their game. We went for a wedding (all guests were also guests of the wedding) and we were well taken care of. Their forte isn't the kitchen, but fortunately there are good palaces to eat within 100 ft of the hotel

Last time I went to the coast of Mexico I had a travel companion who upon arrival wanted to close all the windows and turn on the air conditioner. This time I traveled unaccompanied and there were no windows to close or air conditioning. Thank goodness. How are you to hear the sound of the ocean and feel the warm... More

The setting is what saves this place. The cabanas are fairly basic - the beds are nice and the room-temp showers were refreshing, but there was a simply thoughtfulness missing...and that's what keeps me from giving the property four stars. The staff were all helpful and friendly, and the food is simple but perfectly serviceable (though dinner is not served).... More

We booked this hotel as a pre-wedding place to relax as a couple before our family arrived for our destination wedding in another city. The cabins were a perfect way to unplug from our busy lives and just enjoy the incredible surroundings. The cabins are basic in terms of amenities, but have everything you need and really the beauty was... More
