My wife and I stayed for a very relaxing month. Silva the manager is a perfect gentleman with a good heart. Nothing was too much trouble . Dayamanthe is an amazing cook with a big smile. It was like staying with family. We will definitely return and would highly recommend villa flo. Needless to say that our goodbyes was quite emotional. Thank you Silva and thank you Dayamanthe. Ray & Julie.
Stayed 8 days , great location for swimming or surfing . Could not be closer to the beech, have breakfast take 20 steps and you are in the sea. The rooms were basic but clean which is all we wanted as we spent most of the time outside. The staff very friendly and made you feel very welcome.
Villa Flo is run by a nice, friendly and very hard working couple, it's small place but exceeding for it's price. It has a small and serene bay, breakfast is included. For breakfast they serve you toast with jam and butter, sticky red rice, delicious pancakes filled with some coconut and honey mixture. 2 Sri Lankan dishes that I don't know what to called and egg (at your choice). For drink you have a choice of tea or coffee you also get a mixed fruit juice. The rooms and nice and clean, they have 2 surfboards 1 a bit smaller than the other. They are not beginner boards so if you're a beginner I would not recommend them. But there is a surfing school not very far away from there.
The hotel was clean and the owners were friendly. We had dinner there, we wanted to eat some vegetable fried rice and told him no meat please. After 1.5 hours he brought us rice with chicken. So we asked for some dal or sambol wich was ok. The breakfast (included) was some black toast with butter, jam and some tea. So we asked for some fresh fruits or something. He gave us some pineapple and banana. For dinner the charged us 1500 RPS and for the little fruits he charged us 500 RPS. Way to much! The beach is very small, there is plastic litter everywhere! Ask for the price before you order sth.! The laundry was also still dirty after "cleaning"
The villa is basic but spacious and pretty clean. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. However on my 3rd night of a proposed 9 night stay, my favourite surfboard and backpack was stolen. Including my passport, bank cards and other important and sentimental items. The staff were supportive but questioned me constantly, insinuating that I must have left my surfboard on the beach or somewhere. Apparently there is CCTV but he did not know how to operate it and has to wait a further 2 days before the owner comes back to show him how. I am not suggesting it's their fault but I suspect either someone climbed through my window OR someone who had a key, maybe a previous employee had access. NOT GOOD
