This is an owner run hotel, and the two recently completed rooms were perfect. We had breakfast and evening meals at the hotel which was local cuisine and excellent. They also arranged a tour of the National park which was professional and tailored to suite our interests and our transfer the next day to Unawatuna. All were reasonably priced and took the hassle out of arranging. One of the best places we stayed, Air-con, shower and bed were all fine and rooms were separate from the main house. If you are visiting the park and want a local hotel with perfect customer care stay here.

This homestay is very close to the entrance of the national park. It’s a perfect place for one night before you visit the elephants in the uda walawa national park. Our room was simple but clean and nice. Good shower. The family that runs this place is nice and helpfull and the dinner is typical srilanken food for a good price. They offer a good safari with a super guide and driver! All in all a perfect short visit!

The rooms were large and very clean. It was set just next to Udawalawe National Park. As we drove to property we could see the elephants at the edge of the park. A welcome surprise. The park entrance is literally 5 minutes down the road. We were greeted by the owner/host, from the moment we arrived to the second we left we were treated amazingly. We had dinner and breakfast made by his mother. The food was some of the best we had in our few weeks in Sri Lanka. We got to meet his daughter, shy at first, but a lovely little girl with a lovely smile. He arranged a trip to the National Park with an English speaking guide. He was brilliant. He knew his stuff and made us feel at ease. If you plan on venturing to that part of the country make a point of staying here!

Perfect place to settle your head a night before a trip to the safari. Located just five minutes down the road to the entrance of the national park, you are warmly welcomed with two refreshing welcome drinks by the host and shown to a modern room with large double beds. Dinner is freshly prepared and served efficiently with smiles all around, which later leaves you feeling satisfied and ready for a night sleep in a A/C room. Nothing was too much trouble and I would recommend anyone travelling in the area that needs an easy nights stay to come here. P.S. if you’re struggling to find a safari tour for the national park, our host also helped us find a perfect experience With a private safari tour.
