The reason I have given just 4stars is because my partner and I were the only two guests when we stayed, hence atmosphere could have been better. It was a very comfortable tent and staff very attentive. Safari was good too our guide and driver very knowledgeable we saw all the animals we had come to see we were very lucky. Food was very good too and plenty of it. Domino and all his staff were very friendly indeed. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and were looked after very well.
This stay was, planned as a special holiday for my husbands 70th birthday. We stayed for 2 nights in one of the Elite tents. This was perfect, a shower and a flushable toilet. Lunch was a four course meal under the trees making us feel very special. Dinner was by a fire pit with candles all around and again another four course meal and even a birthday cake. We also had WiFi in our tent which we weren’t expecting. Had an evening ride out to see elephants and also the next morning early, spotting elephants and jackals also many beautiful birds. Our attendant was Wasantha who could not do enough for us making our visit very special. Thank you Wasantha
Quiet, serene place, in the middle of nowhere. We spent one night in the camp, and had a really good time. The place is big enough so the tents are not two close too each other and so one feels private. Tents are comfortable , nicely furnished, with toilet and basic shower. Food was ok, we had a bbq in the evening, with chicken and pork served with local curries. There was a nice fire in the middle of the dining area and lots of candles everywhere which created lovely atmosphere. WiFi is also available on the site. The safari trip to the local national park was exciting, and well organised, the area is mainly know for the elephants and we saw plenty of those. Camp staff were really nice and friendly.
We stayed at this campsite for one night as part of a G Adventures tour of Sri Lanka. This was really luxury camping as the individual tents had carpeting, and an ensuite washroom in the back of the tent with a shower stall, sink and toilet. I was surprised that there were no mosquitoes or other insects that bite in the campsite. We were given an afternoon drive in the Udawalawe National Park where we got to see lots elephants, a jackal, and some birds. The meals were served in a separate open tent that was about a five minute walk to our tents. The breakfast and dinner we had were very delicious with excellent service.
Arrived in time for a fantastic lunch. Warmly greeted and everything explained to us. We were then taken to our tented accommodation which had a comfy bed, running hot water for the shower and a flushable toilet. Lunch was 4 courses but we did have to pay for the 2 cokes we ordered. We did an amazing afternoon safari and a night drive after dinner. Superb. The staff were amazing and we had such a fantastic time here.
