The Holiday Palace and Holiday Poipet are opposite each other and even though I booked direct through their website and received a reply, neither hotel could find my reservation. I ended up staying one night in an overpriced and unpleasant room. Both are casino hotels and that's the only reason anyone might be staying there. If you're a genuine tourist... More

good hotel next to the border, excellent service by hotel staff and they like gamblers more than ordinary tourist, the room is old but clean enough to serve its function, the foods are cheap even in the casino we can order foods and they send to our table, if you need a stopping place for a good sleep, stay here

A few months ago I stayed here and was mildly amused by the "Century Hotel" (There are 3 hotels). This time I stayed in their "Delux Hotel" which was a mere $15 more. Straight up 4 star room nicer than the 4 star Kitano or 70 park ave. in NYC. Again the service here is excellent (and the slot girls... More

Booked this hotel on their website and received an email receipt for the charge. When I arrived they asked for a cash payment and said they just take the credit card info to confirm bookings but function on a cash basis only. Called my Visa issuer which had been charged. Management did not want to speak to them or see... More

Poipet is the armpit of Cambodia. Walk outside in the daylight as a tourist be ready to be stopped by cops repeatedly, harassed by peddlers and more. Go out at night...well I wouldn't suggest it. However, while this hotel does lack logical internet options and in room options like tea, coffee and robes the service (in a very hostile city,... More

In comparison with the other nearby hotels, this one fares better than the rest. It does not have the overall smokey smell, maybe due to its better ventilation and high ceiling. Trust me! I have gone round to the vicnity hotels just to compare. Note that I think all Poipet hotels are not smoke free zone including the lobby. The... More

The fact that you have to pay for your room in cash at checkin says it all plus we had to put a 2000bht deposit in case we damaged the room or stole things from it. In the room, there is a price list outlining what everything costs to replace. Interesting. The rooms look nice but don't look too closely...workmanship... More

I have stayed there numerous times as I travel from Thailand for a little casino fun! The best hotel in poipet. Good food, free if you are gambling along with beer and spirits. Staff is very helpfull and friendly. Rooms are spacious and clean. Good place to stay!

No problems staying at this hotel but I don't think that that anyone will be staying here unless they have to!! Def the best choice in Poipet - a very poor area and stricken by poverty. The Holiday Palace is located within a 'compound' guarded area in the border area between Cambodia and Thaiand. Felt safe in hotel but so... More
