I booked a room and said I would be bringing the dogs - our booking was accepted, I was not asked what type of dogs they were. We had drinks on the terrace with the dogs sitting quietly in the corner and were made to feel very uncomfortable that they were there (there was no one else on the terrace...

We selected this hotel in Tain l'hermitage for accessibility to m. Chapoutier and p. Jaboulet - both tasting rooms are an easy walk from here. Although English is limited and we needed to reserve via email using google translate, the proprietors were friendly and accommodating arranging taxis, dinner reservations and a few spare wine glasses - all with a smile....

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights on a recent trip to the Rhone. You have to book this hotel directly, it is not available to book on booking.com or similar, but I found this to be a simple process, with the help of Google Translate! The owners were extremely accommodating and very friendly. The view...

We stayed in this fine hotel for one night on our way back home from holiday. The people are very friendly and helpful. We had a room (no.5) with bridge and Rhone view for a very good price. But this was mainly about the size of the room. Great enough for us and one night but not for two weeks....

Very friendly and helpful reception. Comfortable and clean room. Easy access to both sides of the river. Excellent breakfast selection and plenty of it. Directions to private garage were clear and easy to find. Only downside was being in room 1 which being situated at the top of the stairs was a bit noisy when people were in the reception...

We saw this hotel from the town across the Rhone River and decided to cross over to find it. The hotel was nice....our balcony overlooked the river....a beautiful view. The room was of medium size but very pretty and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. There were many restaurants nearby, as well as a cave up the hill and...

My wife and I discovered this little gem purely by chance. We had arranged accommodation at a small gite in the hills nearby but that unexpectedly did not come to fruition. Our spirits were really lifted upon entering the hotel reception. Pascale's welcome was warm and friendly, and it was immediately clear that this was a lovely little hotel that...

Location is everything as you are right on the river and right at the bridge to Tournon. Do not even think of not getting a river view room. You might have to go two flights up (no elevator) so try for the first (our second) floor to be only one flight up. Breakfast was actually well worth the €10. They...

Excellent location overlooking the old pedestrian suspension bridge over the Rhône which is illuminated at night to great effect. Quiet surroundings. We had room number 4 which was spacious and had a superb view from our terrace/balcony. Excellent buffet breakfast. No restaurant in the hotel but there is an excellent brasserie opposite. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!

Lovely little hotel in this beautiful town. Make sure you book a room on the river where you can sit on the tiny terrace or even lie on the bed with the French windows open and watch the stunning blue of the Rhone and the people walking across the old bridge to Tournus on the other side. Rooms are small...
