This was the best hotel in terms of space and comfort of our weekend stay in France. Our room was part of the self catering annex so we had use of an open plan lounge/ kitchen/ diner. Only drawback was the noise from the road with the window open but it was okay with window closed. We'll be back next...

This hotel is well situated with free parking. Wi Fi works well. The room was clean and comfortable enough. It is not luxurious but not expensive either. It would suit as an overnight stop on the way to somewhere else.

Stayed overnight on a European tour en route to Portugal. The hotel is in a great spot for exploring the town and sampling the superb local red wines. Unfortunately the room was basic with no coffee making facility, I did know this before booking. But there were no little extras, like a box of tissues, there were no drinking glasses...

Couldn't fault the location of this hotel or the car park. The room was nice and clean and stylish but there was a late check in and an early check out, odd layout ( although it wasn't a problem, it was just odd), the tiniest bathroom, one of those pre fabricated ones, and the shower was tiny and the shower...

This simple hotel is in a great location. The rooms are new and clean (tiny bathrooms though) and they provide parking for free. If you travel during summer time, take a room with aircon. I don’t think it’s worth paying extra for breakfast since there are plenty of cafes around. The reception is only open in the morning and after...

This is a clean and comfortable budget hotel (Euro 65 per night excluding breakfast) in a good location only 50 metres from the station. Breakfast is around Euro 8-9 and is a generous continental spread. The front hotel entrance is closed during the day but there a bell to ring when you first arrive and after you get your room...

We needed a place last minute (as in the night before) and called. My french is OK but my main language is English so naturally when they answered I asked (in french) if they spoke english, the woman was very rude, then immediately hung up on me. Tried looking on the website to book but it wouldn't let me (even...

We stopped here on a very cold December night retuning south. It was dark when we arrived but easily found the back entrance for the car park. Getting in was a bit of a mystery but once there we were warmly welcomed in a combination of English,French and Spanish. The room was excellent. Large with a double and a single...

We arrived in Tain L'Hermitage around mid-evening and found had already been turned away from Les Deux Couteaux as it was 'full' when we came across Hotel Le Castel. The double room we booked was perfectly adequate for our needs, actually quite spacious, and relatively inexpensive. It was clean with a functional bathroom and a comfortable bed. Above all, the...
